This is good idea, but what about nitrogen? CO2 is too dilute in the atmosphere. We could use ammonia rather than methane.

Just arithmetic trying to balance your title which you admit is a little misleading. For the rest, sounds cool for an application like islands in stormy regions. Great. Maybe trackers can have a stow position that is wind resistant. Maybe not though.

What about MWh per acre? Is that closer, like 0.74/0.4 since trackers can double the energy harvested? Then you are at twice the energy for 3.5x the cost.

This is right on. We are told we are in an existential crisis, and yet the policies everyone wants are so inefficient and backwards.

Still no definitive report or evidence on how Russia did this?

Wasn't a lot of the knowledge lost during the cultural revolution? Burned books, jailed teachers.

France runs 70% on nuclear. Tell me how many hours storage and what overbuild you need to get to this level of decarbonization with wind and solar. Once you add in all these systems needed to make a reliable grid off of intermittent renewables, how does that cost compare to nuclear?

Hydrogen from water, or bio material. But, yeah, burning ammonia probably will lead to need for some heavy duty catalytic converters, I bet, to avoid smog from NOx. VW will be like, 'you thought we were bad. Wtf?'.
