Right? Brando was considered non- hireable, he was on a losing streak, and a total prima donna. That biopic that came out last year was a master class.
Had to fight to get Pacino cast too, as I recall. Forget atm who they wanted originally for Michael.

Cool. My dad was in high school then. 3 years later, he was a replacement paratrooper for Airborne 17th, who took heavy casualties. He arrived in England after D-Day.

Yes, but Hegel refuted that with his newly discovered I Just Kant.

Sam Rayburn's family moved (with him as a kid) to West Texas when there was still a chance of Comanches showing up and burning the whole place to the ground because it was their land.

Okay, in a day late, but this part seems odd to me:
> The study also found "a large increase in thyroid-related deaths following the countrywide adoption of iodized salt, which affected mostly older individuals in localities with high prevalence of iodine deficiency".
That says that when they adopted iodized salt, thyroid-related deaths increased. Am I reading that right, or is it my iodine deficiency parsing..

It's really good. Even for someone who's never seen any of the Godfather trilogy.
The Offer is about Al Ruddy, an unknown whose boss at Paramount decided could make an impossible-to-make film.
Tons of amazing trivia facts along the way that most of us were totally unaware of.
