Rofl what should they do? Buy oil from Azerbaijan like the Europeans are now doing? They’re not genocidal or anything. What about Saudi Arabia? Same thing. There aren’t enough good countries selling oil for global demand and obviously no one wants to deindustrialize and destroy their country to show how moral they are

I mean, Ukraine itself makes money off of Russian pipelines that pass through its territory currently WHILE fighting Russia. Japan isn’t as fortunate as places like the u.s who are energy independent. All of east Asia is extremely dependent on oil from the Middle East and Russia. It’s buy oil from totalitarian Russia or totalitarian Saudi Arabia or shut down your country so you don’t buy from bad people which is a non starter.

Seems like a crazy number when compared to the u.s immigration numbers which is generally about twice that but with a population of 320 million. Seems questionable with wages and housing being such large issues currently.
