Sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.

That affiliate link leads to adware. Plenty of clean affiliate links out there (ebay, amazon, etc). This one isn't.

The civility thing is no big deal. Unlike many on here, I have thick skin.

The perverted username should be the first clue. And if one can get beyond that, the lack of critical thought becomes painfully obvious.

No, that's not all you said. You attempted to mislead a newcomer by suggesting that it's safe to walk through Dexter Park at midnight.

But I'm glad to see that u/Remarkable_Money_369 called you out for your irresponsible comments. Perhaps that person will chime in here.

Your credibility has everything to do with it. You are apparently someone who not only downplays the crime in Providence but also tries to suppress crime information.

I would think a lot of people would like to know that a person was stabbed right next to the URI Providence campus.

You know there's a problem when the majority of posters are saying Chomp.

Don't get me wrong. I order from Chomp somewhat frequently, and I do enjoy it, but it's really nothing to get excited about. It just isn't.

r/providence Rule #1 Relation

"Submissions must relate to Providence and surrounding area. This is a broad category and can relate to the state or greater New England area so long as it will be of interest to Providence residents."

People who create new accounts to complain that rules aren't being enforced should probably read the rules beforehand. The post is not off-topic.

From the article:

On Monday, BLM RI PAC released the following statement:

"On Thursday evening February 2nd, 2023, Shea High School's boys basketball team played an away game at Tiverton High School. During the game racial slurs were heard from spectators, such as the n-word and other slurs, as well as making monkey noises when players were taking their free throws. It was reported to us that parents and students from Tiverton were the culprits. We have received these allegations from multiple students, student athletes, teachers and parents who attended the game in support of Shea High School.

This culture of blatant racism is still alive, not only across the country but right here in Rhode Island. This is a startling trend, as just recently racist and discriminatory propaganda was found at one of our local state colleges. We are deeply saddened not only for the student athletes but also for any family, friends, or community members that had to witness such heinous acts. It's a surprise to us that the town of Tiverton would foster a culture where outright racism is tolerated. We demand those who committed these vile acts be brought under investigation by the Tiverton School District, the town of Tiverton, and the Rhode Island Department of Education. The use of racist and intolerant language has no place in our society and especially our schools."

I never claimed they should be the same. I am unsure if they are the same. Rule 5 in r/providence is Mod discretion. That means everything doesn't need to be spelled out.

Regardless, I am perfectly content with my posting style and have no plans to change it.

Your suggestion is not the appropriate way to do it...and would violate the rules in the sister subreddit (again, not sure about here).

But why are you even making these odd suggestions? Just looking for something to whine about? Can't find a GoLocal post to complain about? Bored? Or simply trying to get people to forget about the shooting?
