I did not recognize him as Rasputin initially until they did the Jackrasp thing. Always good to see some of the old Jackass gang together.

Reply to Why do we always blame streaming services for cancelling shows but never the showrunner/writers for writing cliffhangers? by [deleted]
I usually defend streaming services but I actually think they are mostly responsible for this.
They could make it explicit when they sign the deal that it's a limited/mini series. But they don't because they want hits that they can do 8 seasons of.
Mini series are the way, give you more time than a movie to flesh out a plot, but also gives you a beginning, middle and end. But neither the creative nor business side wants it, actors and writers want the stable work, business wants 100 episodes of hit content, not 10.

It wasn't funny and it was 30 minutes too long. JLD and Duchoveny hammered their one joke into the ground, Long and London's character had no personality, Hills character was incredibly unlikable (finance bro, but he quits his stable job so he can create a podcast about the culture), Rhea Perlman barely had a line.

Better to have gotten picked up and cancelled than to have never gotten picked up at all. 3 seasons is more than a lot of shows get, not every show is gonna go on a Simpsons run.

Damn, that actually sounds like a solid movie. Only more relevant today too with sports gambling and crypto.

Reply to Breaking Bad or The Sopranos, and why? by RichAf26
I think I enjoyed Sopranos more, a little more fun, a little more episodic than BB. I like it's wide cast of characters vs the more focused 5-10 characters of BB.
BB had the better writing and cinematography.

Reply to I just finished oz on HBO by TrichomeFarmers
It's not the best of the early HBO shows, but it's my favorite, just batshit craziness in every episode. Looking back, I'd argue it has the best cast out of any of the early HBO, Perrineau, Simmons, Meloni, Winters in the main cast with so many minor/guest characters rotating in and...out: Guzman, Falco, Margolis, Carnavale, Cathey, Reddick, Perry BD Wong, Rita fucking Moreno.
So many actors who are probably best known for cop roles also got to play criminals too, anytime someone brings up L&O:SVU, I always ask if they have seen Stabler in Oz.
Best prisoners
