Reply to This is currently an anti-trans bill sitting in our house at the moment, and frankly, I don’t see enough people talking about it. by Jtagz
This was on a post about a week or so ago.
Children should not have transition medication, surgery until they are adults if they still want it. Doing anything to minors is a form of abuse as they are incapable of processing any of this as well as make any decisions.
What I want to know is why the big push to get children to take such drastic measures?

Reply to Car insurance help by peanutbuttercandy8
As far as learning to drive, you could go to a driving school who will pick you up at your address and show you how to drive well enough to pass your test.
That is the best way to go as insurance companies give discounts (usually) for those who complete the classes. They know what is going to be on the test, what you need to work on.

Reply to RAFT assistance ?? by ApprehensivePair7113
While I am no expert, you are technically couch surfing even though you share a room with your child. The renter can say that you cannot stay permanently and need to find a place of your own. If you can speak with someone who is running the RAFT program they will tell you what your options are regarding getting verification. I hope you can find a place soon

That does appear to be over the top/harassing policing. The fabricating of reports just makes this even worse.
I would hope that the upper management of the police officers are also looked into as fabricating a police report is very serious and sounds it is more than just one police officer. Police managers need to be more diligent in making sure something like this does not continue, which it sounds like no one is doing that.
PS I did not know that the registry did not need to be notified if the color of ones vehicle changed. Good on him for knowing the law.

So no one is going to mention that this can be related to covid? That the massive shutdown of the economy for over a year had nothing to do with this. People were not moving and were staying in place. All those who did need/want to move were battling over the low inventory.
Many people who did not want to invest in the market were scooping up properties to park their money. Cash payer were getting properties over mortgages.
Now everyone is in a quagmire where while selling prices are high, they would need to spend that plus more to move. There were/are people willing to pay over asking by 10's of thousands for homes that did not merit this. Until the housing market calms down, and people can afford to buy/sell no one is going to move. Now with interest being so high, these high prices are not affordable. This may take some time, and the coming recession is not going to help either

Reply to In MA, single women over 65 are more economically vulnerable than in any other state. Housing cost is a major factor. by Creative_Law_1484
Are any of these women getting in contact with their local Council on Aging? There is also a housing authority in most if not all towns that can get people into income based apartments.
I frankly found the article to be pedestrian with little information as to why these women are living outside, not in a shelter, or otherwise engaged with housing support.
Since these women are fully functioning adults, should they not be able to get into a homeless diversion program until permanent housing can be found.

If you have the time and way of getting places, you could just do a walk through of MB and see how people look. You could also stop and speak with any of the workers there and just ask them about your concern.

You can add Shaw's to that list too. I do my shopping at MB and items such as paper towels are at least $3-4 more. That is a huge increase.

Why is Dec 22 40 days? That is 11-12 days over any previous months. That is just under half a months worth of gas tacked on. If you also count the days for each reading from Jan 22 to Dec 22 it comes to 373 days so that is over 365/yr. There are too many days and depending on which days they are over counting (cheaper cost months before the increases) they are overcharging you.
Plumbers are capable of looking over the inside of your building, unless it contains many apartments I would check with them, and determine if the lines are going to the right meter or if someone is connected to yours. Speak to your landlord so that they can gain access to where it comes into the house, the meters and where each apt is connected to the meter.
Back in the mid 90's I got a notice that I was being shut off for non payment. I had been sending payments with the bills I received. When I called them, it seems they had the lines mislabeled for my apartment since the lines were a cluster.
I would call a plumber first, make sure you are paying for only you. I would also do as you are doing reading it every day and take a picture, each time, too of the meter for proof. I would call the gas company and discuss the irregularity of the days cited on you bill. I would also check that every window/door is closed and tight. Beyond that, I think they have us all by the short hairs at the moment.

Thank you. It just outs people who have zero regard for neighborhoods, and are just sellouts to developers who don't care about it either. We can see how many people support developers who come into neighborhoods to make their millions.
People have rights to decide how their area is developed. Many more are starting to speak up against over building.
There is no need to turn Boston/MA into a large city/cities. Supporters are destroying the area in some delusional thinking that more building will bring prices down.

This is the new Manifest Destiny attitude, and I bet most of the people are the ones who think they are so socially aware about everything.
Then of course there is the aspect that the proposed design of areas by Climate Changers, think we all need to live in high rise apartments on top of each other so they can get live their dream of everyone abandoning their cars and use public transportation.
Time to recycle this trash and tell them there are plenty of places in the country they can go to live out their utopian society

Don't apologize because you want to keep your area the way it is!!!!
People buy homes not only for the home, but for the area too. There is NOTHING wrong with having neighborhoods where people can feel like they can walk, ride bikes, is safe for children, with some outdoor yard space and places to park.
Those who cry NIMBY are the ignorants who don't understand the word and throw it around like confetti thinking people will back down or change their minds. Screw that.
If people wanted to live in a congested area they would live in one. Absolutely nothing to feel ashamed about, and stop apologizing for wanting to live your life as you want.

DO NOT!!! Go to VIP tires and service in Manchester. When I first moved here I did not know a place and went there for just an oil change on a two year old Jeep Renegade. They tried to tell me that it was out of alignment and brought out some computer test pictures showing it. I knew they were full of s@it so I told them it was still under warranty and I will bring it back to the dealer. I ended up finding a dealer that had Saturday appointments and asked them to check it. It was fine. Total scumbags tried to scam me. Oh did I also mention I am female so they probably thought I was fresh meat.
Time to make the extended warranty scam work for us, and if anyone is in doubt about diagnostics like mine, just tell them it is under warranty you will take it to the dealer/warranty place regardless of how old the car.

Reply to Pharmacist from CVS who wants to remind people to please treat our staff kindly this next month and reminder that insurance plans to change soon by [deleted]
You are right about not treating people rudely or worse.
However, CVS and any other Pharmacy need to hire more people and pay them better to get them in. I know that is easier said than done, but I am sure they all knew of this change and what have they done to prepare for it.
Also, the nature of the business where sick, people in pain, or otherwise in need of medication quickly and efficiently cannot wait around in a pharmacy for too long. That is where a lot of the nastiness comes from and people need to understand that. People coming home from the hospital on vast amounts of new medication who are suppose to stay on schedule find it impossible to do so when there is an issue that delays this.
People are going to the pharmacy for a reason and it is not about buying vitamins either. CVS and the others need to step up and get the pharmacy better prepared so people can get what they need, people can communicate better with each other so that they know what is going on, and being respectful is a must for everyone involved.

Children do not need puberty blocker for something that they do not even understand. It is highly reckless and abusive to prevent a child from developing as their body dictates. Gender dysphoria is a serious issue that does not mean they need to act on when they are children.
Those who would recommend a child to go through any procedure before they are adult do not have the child's welfare as their primary concern.
Again, why are people pushing for this?
