Have a look!
I always see them in this particular spot every year, blooming ahead of any others --but I've also seen the shoots up in all the other usual early spots.
I look for them every year. Just never seen them even close to this early

Eerie is a good word for it. There are masses of perennial daisies at India Point Park. All of their foliage has a couple inches of new growth on the tips.
Witchhazel is in bloom, a month early. Crocus shoots have been up an inch or more for a couple weeks.
From mid-November until mid-December the cherry trees at the entrance to Swan Point were in bloom. That's supposed to happen in mid-April 😳
I've never seen this.

No, they're totally fine with being buried in snow 😆 .. even the blossoms. If it snowed today, whenever it melted these same blossoms would look pretty much the way they do now. Same with crocuses and daffofils.

Good God really??! 😳 Are you on the beach? Water views? I thought everywhere in the South had much cheaper COL than here. I figured what'd kill FL is not being able to insure properties

Yes, Boston's stratospheric rise in rents is the most shocking story.
I lived in Boston. When I moved to RI (decades ago) Boston was as cheaper than NYC as Providence was compared with Boston.
The ratio is way out of whack now. Boston shot up much closer to NYC prices. Value-wise, it's not close to comparable.
Never regretting choosing Providence.

MA has better "global" health care I think? thanks to Romney. And I think lower car costs than RI.
You should be able to find something in your range in the mill towns around Worcester.

So true. As a young artist it's why I chose it -- least amount of hours worked, maybe 20 / week, allowing the most free time. Plus I liked bringing cash money home in my pocket every night rather than having to wait for a paycheck.

Wow! First I've heard of this ... so I shouldn't put glass in recycling anymore? Not that much comes in glass anymore 😣

I was walking my dog one recent morning at about the same pace as the garbage (non-recyclables) truck was picking up. And at several stops, the guy riding on the back also dumped the contents of the blue bins into the garbage truck. Must admit I was shocked 😣

I've heard that you can see harbor seals easily from shore around this time of year, somewhere around North Kingston? Maybe someone here will know more.
Just Googled: "Rome Point in North Kingstown, Brenton Point in Newport, Rocky Point in Warwick, and Church Cove and Usher Cove in Bristol are what Lewis calls “sentinel sites” that tend to have the highest number of seals during each low tide and are usually occupied early and late in the season."
Save the Bay also has seal watching boat tours; don't know anything about those or if they are offered now.

Your comment prompted me to check on my neighbor's daffodils; his are the earliest around. Sure enough: up several inches. That's crazy early
