What I most want is some Matrix like fantasy virtual reality. I know I don't see it happening without biological immortality. So that is my goal. To get some really nice universe for me to play with. While waiting it to happen it is anime, video games and movies. When robots takes our jobs I have even more time to spent to those!

As I always say. Results are what matters not how it is achieved. It would be really nice to know how something works but ultimately humanity has used things like fire thousands years without understanding it.

Yeah. But I could imagine that this AI tech will help dramatically invent new materials for robots, design more efficient ways to build robots and test them in virtual environments. Real robots might come sooner than we think but of course it will take more time than digital world and nobody can't construct robots in billions very fast.

Sure, but it is not like that we need to build 10 billion robots with human hands. No, once we have achieved certain level of AI we don't need humans to do that. After that robots can build and maintenance robots. Robots factories build automatically robots with very minimal supervising from humans.

Yeah. I don't know why this certain person spams all irrelevant links here all the time. If I wanted to read articles like this I would go to /r/Futurology. People shortage has nothing to do achieving singularity.

Humans are stupid animals who kills each others for their fragile egos and right to get mates. Humans are not fit to rule. AI overlord should be welcomed.

And here is the problem which I dislike so much. Many say that we need to work because we need that struggle. These people probably think that we can't have games and VR because we have to be here to struggle to do some meaningless jobs even when we have robots doing everything. These people probably just invent and forces society to do some meaningless jobs.

Economy sure but not money necessary. Economy does not mean money. But I agree. As long as humans values something then we create value for it. In human society something is always valuable, like beauty or friends etc. Value is which causes us to have standing in society. We always have something which differentiates us from others. We give value for things which others don't have.

Sure we can have infinite energy and resources but there will always be something which creates hierarchy in our world. We live in society after all.

I think he said that because he is working in Google. It seems like all tech people say the same thing. Maybe they are scared that people will start to blame tech giants if they say that AI will take jobs. That is only reason why I can think why all the tech people say this.
