I agree with that. Seeing ''on AppleTV'' nowadays is the next best thing after HBO when it comes to new content being produced.

Same for me. Not among the best things I've seen this year but the whole vibe of the show was great.

I've loved everyone's performances but I'm also not a huge fan of all these re-casts.
At some point it gets harder to get truly immersed in something new when you keep seeing the same face that you already have associated with another character or characters.
Flanagan manages to get amazing performances out of people. I'd rather he brought in new actors to let them shine.

Flanagan only directed two episodes of this show. He directed everything on Hill House and Midnight Mass.

Flanagan only directed 1 episode on Bly Manor and 2 episodes on Midnight Club.
Hill House and Midnight Mass is all Flanagan, as will House of Usher be I think.

With a Flanagan series pretty much every year, an anthology like this is EXACTLY what I needed. So much fun with such a wide variety of scary stories. I hope this is a massive hit.

Only seen the first 5 so far.
- The Autopsy
- Graveyard Rats
- Pickman's Model
- Lot 36
- The Outside
The Autopsy was near perfect and while the rest have been decent I'm absolutely loving it overall. So much fun to get such a wide variety of stories. I hope this is a hit and that they can make more seasons.
Fun fact, the director for ''The Autopsy'' (David Prior) which almost everyone says is the best episode, is the guy that made ''The Empty Man''. Phenomenal horror movie.

This is so odd. Like someone who doesn't like horror but keep watching scary movies.
Just look up whatever it is you're about to watch? I would take you a minute on reddit to find out if something has a cliffhanger or whatever.

This post reeks of teenager used to good cgi and doesn't care about writing. I mean I don't blame OP. The standards today when it comes to writing aren't very high.

Feels like a ''teenager used to todays CGI and vfx standards but hasn't learned to appreciate good writing yet'' post.
Buffy was before my time as well but I did watch a couple of seasons a few years back. It's above and beyond most things on television these days.

IMO there's no way a television adaptation can be good. It's just too CGI demanding if done properly. This should be one of their next big movie projects instead. I mean Black Adam just released. Next is Aquaman, Flash and Shazam right?
Time to start development on their movies after those. I'd guess a Superman movie is getting worked on now but what else. Seems so odd to leave Green Lantern for television.

A television series always sounded strange to be considering Green Lantern has to be one of, if not the most CGI demanding live action project possible.

Very different from Severance, but Apple's ''Servant'' is really enjoyable. Also a wtf is going on type show. Rupert Grint is in it too. It's the only thing I've seen him in except for Harry Potter and he is absolutely killing it.

Disney+ needs to do a quality control before doing anything more. Pretty much every big show they've put out with the exception of Andor has had sloppy work.
