Anyone have any info on this last bit (“branded him a racist, classist,” etc.)? Unsurprisingly, I couldn’t find anything with a quick Google search

Same in Brewerytown. Neighbors still out in the rain, on wine bottle #2 with music playing, giving out candy and temporary tattoos to whoever will take them. Just ordered them a pizza

Was thinking about this yesterday after watching someone throw fast food trash out their car window in the general direction of someone walking their dog on Poplar: the amount of littering and dumping that happens in this city makes me think we're forever fucked.

Until our neighbors decide to care about the community/place they live in enough to properly dispose of their garbage, there's no chance our city will ever change for the better. If people can't even consider how littering and dumping might affect others, they absolutely aren't giving a shit about anyone else's safety, health, well-being, experience on this earth, etc.

Philadelphia schools also don't really offer many extracurricular opportunities for kids, so there are lots of school- and community-based organizations doing youth development at schools that could likely use financial support, as well (two of my personal favorites are Give and Go Athletics and the Kensington Soccer Club, both of which are members of the Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative)
