As with all such claims I have a quick way to test it...let's cut off his and or his wife's toes then see long it takes for prayer alone to regrow them...

If they regrow we should all definitely consider believing in this guy's religion as magic regenerative powers is a pretty good payoff for faith.

If they don't... well... either the man is lying... or I guess his faith just isn't strong enough.

As long as the US is a naval/aireal world power, and as long as the US is involved in the region. China cannot take Taiwan.

They don't have the navy or airforce numbers or quality to perform a sustainable landing operation while facing a naval/aireal threat from other countries.

A regional power like Japan's navy alone, if they got involved, might be enough to counter China's invasion simply by threatening troop convoys and supply convoys throughout the invasion attempt... and obviously if the US is involved basically every Chinese ship above water would be sunk in a matter of a week or two.

It also realistically isn't worth it, even in a world China had the navy and airforce to conquer Taiwan they'd lose hundreds of thousands if not a full million men in the attempt. All for a Tiny island they'd have to level with bombs and make more or less worthless just to obtain. Losing that much of your army/population all for an island just isn't logical.

The main theory is that Leonardo Da Vince and his students painted the same person, piece, or woman around the same time and in the same style and this may have been the equivalent of a modern art class.

As an example of similarities, you could check out the Isleworth Mona Lisa which is thought to predate the more well known Mona Lisa. Also of note is that it is unknown if Leonardo painted any of these or all of them (and may have started or touched up several of them and let his students finish them... we just don't know)... and that includes the original, but most of them likely came from his studio and can be dated to the period he could have done them.

Edit:// here is another Mona lisa, (a twin to the original, also is displayed in OP's linked article) painted and even has the same errors/changes made to the original but is believed to have been painted by one of his students. As you can see the color choice and overall look is different despite it being the same person painted.

Realistically... you are probably right. Throw current cam back into college games and he can probably still get 2,000 yard seasons (lower competition) but could still have a sub 60% completion percentage, low number of TDs, and a high number of INTs.

Basically a worse Anthony Richardson without the youth or potential.

Very likely fictional, though the Persians did believe in nature deities and thus, if it did happen, the Persians would have been trying to punish the diety of the water/storm rather than the water itself. The Persians would have believed because Xerxes had a divine right to rule such deities of nature would have been as slaves and thus should be subservient to their "owner".

Again though the events as described are likely gross exaggerations of what occurred, if anything in fact happened at all. It is more likely the Greeks were playing up a lesser event like the Persians formally admonishing any potential diety that would stand in their way, or perhaps making the whole story up to mock a hated rival and underscore the perceived tyranny they felt kneeling to the Persians would bring.
