Yea, I grew up in Ocean City, the 1400sqf house I grew up in still stands, but is worth close to half a million now. It sits on 1/4 of an acre with a two car garage. My little house in Northfield has less than half the property and no garage. My taxes are more than twice what my growing up house pays.

The problem with Atlantic City is the high taxes. Co-worker of mine had a small 800sqf house in the Venice Park section of town, his taxes were close to my 1300sqf home in Northfield.

Instead of siphoning off all the taxes out of the city, NJ should allow AC to drop the property taxes to minimal and people will move back.

BL England. It was converted from Coal to oil and is now in the process of being torn down completely. They collapsed the cooling tower last month.

I work in Atlantic City near the turbines there. I think they look good and they do not bother the view at all. If anything the sewerage plant they are located at looks better because of the turbines.

Not if towns like Ocean City have their way.

1978 I was just a little shit. I can remember wandering the Atlantic City Boardwalk while my parents were in Boardwalk Hall participating in a dog show. I would wander down to the nearest arcade and play skeeball.

My late grandmother lived a mile from a traffic light. People would light up at the red and when they got to her place, throw the butt out the window. The first 8 feet of her lawn was nothing but cigarette butts. They were nearly impossible to get out of the grass.

I work in one of the casinos. We need a ban in those buildings.
