I love the character Tom Hagen (Robert Duvall), especially in the first one. I'm guessing he's intentionally made less likeable in Part 2, along with Michael getting the same treatment.

A Futile and Stupid Gesture is the only biopic I really enjoyed. It's about Doug Kenney and his time at the National Lampoon. It's on Netflix, made by David Wain, and has a ton of good cameos.

You forgot their first one...Puddle Cruiser. Probably only worth it to say you did, though there are a couple good jokes

Pick up the free papers like The Hippo. There's lots of different activities.
Also, check out the library (-ies?) and the city's recreation website. There's usually different things posted in those places..

Indoor soccer - There are adult leagues in Bedford and Derry. Derry also has basketball leagues, as do many YMCA's.

We need some of that wireless electricity. The conspiracy theorists would need more than a ton foil hat to protect themselves, though.

To that end there's a really fun par-3 course in Hyannis (Edit: Twin Brooks Golf Course). It has a hotel on site too. There may not be a ton to do there besides golf, though. Cape businesses don't generally pick up until mid-May.

One thing worth mentioning is the creatives at Disney were very much into darker subjects in the 80s. Tim Burton was part of that group. (They had begun developing Nightmare Before Christmas during this time.)
The Black Cauldron was the tipping point where they overhauled their animation department, and moved toward lighter, more kid-accessible movies like Oliver & Co., Little Mermaid, etc.

I think you'd be surprised how much of Bernie Sanders' policy ideas you agree with if you could separate his name from them. It's not a fluke that a not insignificant number of his supporters in 2016 went for Trump in the general election.
