Worcester is just too far to travel to school from there. I'd look at Palmer. It's a dump and has shitty schools so your rent will be cheaper and you can spend the extra $$ on restaurants and entertainment in Amherst, Northampton, Sturbridge, etc.

30 minutes to Logan can make it tight on budget and land.

If you can get your head around more like an hour - hour and 15 minutes? It really will open things up for you.

That's a short commute to Boston and the houses will be priced accordingly.

Wont be near shopping?

Come on. 900K is fine. There are a zillion places with lots of good restaurants and near by shopping.

He can go to central Mass and be within one hour of like 3 airports. There's TF Greene, Hartford (which I used all the time), Manchester, Worcester, and Logan.

OK, well if you plan to have kids the answer is a lot different than if you will not need to rely on a school system.

Our house values are tied into how good the school is.

I guess other big question is -- like 30 minutes to the airport?

I live in central Mass. I'm with 1 1/2 hours from 4 good airports -- but not less than 50 from any. It works for my husband as he only flies a couple times a month, but may not be good for a frequent flier.

When you let someone go, you should always make sure it's not totally clear behind you (and that the vehicles behind you are at a decent distance).

The other guy is right but was being cranky about you doing something a bit silly.

Stopping to let people go is advanced level driving. If you do it wrong you are fucking stuff up more than if you just did nothing.

When you get trained by a company (like Fed Ex, Verizon, etc) you are advised to NOT stop for people as it causes more accidents than not.

Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.): “The four big meat packers are raking in record profits … ”
PolitiFact's ruling: True
Here's why: Meat prices are soaring and Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) wonders whether there’s been collusion among the nation’s largest meat-packing corporations.
"The four big meat packers are raking in record profits," she wrote in a June 16 guest column for Fox News, which was co-authored by Brooke Miller, president of the U.S. Cattlemen’s Association.

Let's not pretend that this as a linked to events as it is to corp profits.

Same with gas.

I'm pretty comfortable. We make 6 figures +. I guess we are millionaires.

This doesn't tax people who are "millionaires". It taxes people who are mega millionaires. These are people who have a salary of a million dollars annually.

If you made this amount you could buy 2 houses THIS YEAR. And next year too. And next year. These are people who don't clean their homes, dont rake their yard, they do NOT have to go to the bank (private bankers come to your house), they do not have to go to a car dealership (you just call and the sales guys drive cars to your house and you look at them then they deliver the car), their kids get tutors (despite getting As just so they can be the best), their maids grcoery shop for them and drive their kids to sports, when they travel? They spend 3K a night on a hotel.

You do not understand the wealth. My friend is taking his family for some island in South Carolina for Thanksgiving. They are staying 3 days and it is going to cost about 160K before food, drink, tax. He gets SO much taxpayer money for his income it is sick. He doesn't pay taxes. He uses loopholes. He got like a million in PPP loans. This isn't all HIS money. It's yours.

You will be able to build wealth and I'm sorry to say... odds say you will never ever have to worry about this.

I pay my maid 40 bucks an hour. This is NOT going to hurt her or you or me.

I dont know of any waterfall spots other than the ones you mentioned. I will mention 2 really good hikes with lots of water -- Moore State Park and Rutland State park.

Moore has a man made fall, meadows, woods, ponds.

Rutland is a gorgeous rail trail with some bonus side hikes. I like to park here-- https://www.google.com/maps/place/Worcester+Rd,+Oakham,+MA/@42.3928261,-72.0576325,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89e1536638ba78c3:0xc4eed525aac4094!8m2!3d42.3928222!4d-72.0554438

Both are pretty quiet.

Within an hour or two is all of New England.

If it were me I'd go to Newburyport to walk around and get a meal.

You could go to the PEM (museum in Salem). They have a historic home from China which was disassembled and reassembled.

Go to Woodman's for fried clams. It's famous (and probably should be) for them and only 15 minutes away.

Go to the beach! Pick a warmish day and go see a couple of the best beaches on the North shore. It sucks trying to go in the summer - but you'll get to stroll the beach, beach comb without throngs of people.

Crane beach and driving all the way to the end of Plum island are a couple good spots.

Drive up to Portsmouth and Portland. If you start first thing you can easily do both cities and be back home for supper.

Ask your job what you need to add your child. Custody doesn't always mean responsible for insurance.

What does it spell out in your custody arrangement? What insurance have you had up to now for your kid?
