The transgender population is small and vulnerable, which makes them an easy target for political posturing and bullying. As other states target 1/2 of 1% of the population, I’m glad Connecticut continues to be a welcoming place.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area 6:00pm Monday to 6:00pm Tuesday. Heavy snow and some sleet along coastal sections. Total accumulations of 5 to 8 inches. Travel could be very difficult. Hazardous conditions could impact commutes.

Darien residents deserve better than they are getting from the Republican Board of Selectman and Republican Board of Ed. Tone dead, backwards and insular. They oppose POW/MIA and Pride flags, 16 Norwalk kindergartners but can afford a $103 million private island.

The work we’ve done in the legislature with two governors over the last twelve years is noticed again by Wall Street resulting in significant taxpayer savings. Standard & Poor’s announced it is increasing Connecticut’s general obligation bond credit rating from A+ to AA-.

Some of the examples may be district specific. I’m not aware of any effort or policy that cuts state funding based on disciplinary metrics.
