I know you jest but now that my kids are on my steam account all the time playing the Lego games I’m happy I have games on other accounts I can play.

Really though, from their perspective, I get it. Why would Ubisoft or EA give Steam a 25-30 percent cut when they don’t have to? I mean, they probably don’t even give their developers that much of a cut.

When I format my pc every few years I spend 15 minutes downloading the 8 or so launchers and logging in and then make a folder in my start menu with their shortcuts and I’m done. I don’t get why that’s so hard for people, but I guess if you wanna pay the steam tax instead of getting the game cheaper on another platform, more power to you.

It always has been. If someone accuses anything #MeToo related and you give any levelheaded response then you must also be a rapist and hate women.

I only watched the video clip on the site but it doesn’t say what evidence they have that this sexual assault occurred.

I love what the #MeToo movement did to take down people who were seen as untouchable but now all you need is an allegation to ruin someone’s life. They could be cleared of all charges and people would still condemn them.

This is a fear of mine, that I would unknowingly poison my kids like this. I remember a while back there was a bacteria found in samples of peanut butter but the cost was too much to destroy the whole batch so they shipped it out anyway hoping it was just in the one sample… nope, several children died consuming it.

My heart breaks for those families.

I feel there was a big push to snatch up talent as the pandemic was wrapping up. There were so many jobs a year ago. I procrastinated and procrastinated on getting my resume redone and learning a JS framework that now that I finally have the competition for remote position has spiked.

I’ve applied to a few but it’s a lost cause, I feel. I can’t compete with all these people who have Twitter and Google and Facebook on their profile.

How does CCleaner not clean anything? I know that I can do the tasks manually, but it has found several GB of temp files from installs that haven't cleared out. Back when storage was more limited CCleaner was a great tool, I don't use it as much anymore because of all the popups to upgrade.
