Clearly, we need a regional authority. I guess I remain optimistic that any change has got to be better than what we got.

I went to their shop years ago and they didn’t take credit and seemed very stuck up. Too bad because I love a fancy chocolate.

Same, but also I saw the large recycling bins distributed on my block, only to be filled with garbage. Education would go a long way, but I suppose this is true for more than just this issue.

We did not sign a monthly lease. We became so after making our home here for an average of ~12 years. I understand where we stand, but that doesn’t mean that a company can come in and ignore laws (which we have evidence of). This is gentrification, and we realize this isn’t a unique situation. But it stings a bit to be a part of a community that defines its character, and then to be priced out. All for the profits of a developer that will contain to whitewash every trendy neighborhood.

I’ve been in this company’s properties, and they are not quality renovations. So no, in this particular case, I am not a fan.

We all realize that getting pushed out is inevitable, and want to ensure fair treatment. I’m not surprised by the chain of events, but their tone throughout communication has been disrespectful.

IT COSTS NOTHING TO USE A TRASH CAN
Sorry for all caps, but this makes me angry and sad and confused. Also, I picked up several pieces of garbage because if you’re gonna bitch, you better be willing to do something.

I spent one year in the suburbs in my 20’s and it was boring as hell. Everything closes early, neighbors are weird (diff than city weird), and you have to drive to everything.
Moving into a cool city neighborhood was a relief!

They should totally issue refunds to save face and to help themselves get out of this hole.
Obviously I’m preaching to the choir, and we know how reluctant they are to hand any money back.
