That was written a year ago. Here’s one yesterday from NYT. Stating that October is when they started sending more cops in transit.

In fact, back in medieval times, a lot of adventurers would become cops after something happened to them like taking an arrow to the knee.

Isn’t it because October is when the mayor and governor flooded the transit system with more cops?

Eh. He held it at Columbus Circle, a place historically known for meeting ground of rallies and stuff. There’s also three-four police precincts in the vicinity. Yes, Trump tower also happens to be there. I don’t think this is on the same level as Q mug in the background of a televised interview.

Agreed. But I feel like paint job on a car is really low on the list of what employees should know about the NYPD’s history.

Why would they need to know that? I’m 35 and don’t remember the green cars at all. I remember the baby blue and white.

No but I will blame a DA that ran on the platform of refusing to prosecute people driving with suspended licenses because it’s racist.

No one knows what’s motivating these attacks. We can assume, but why is this person singling out this one gay bar and not others on 9th Avenue?
The owner said that the news of Colorado scared him, as it should because it’s a terrible thing. But what does the owner want done differently here?

Which I understand completely. And it’s a shame. I’m not saying my suggestion was an easy or simple move to make. But stigma be damned, if that man’s or his daughter’s life or health are in jeopardy, then he should make moves to protect himself and his daughter. Especially if there are clear signs of abuse.

Can you explain why? Aren’t restraining orders made for situations like this? Shouldn’t spousal abusers be held accountable for their crimes?

My apologies. I still stand by my point though. No one should ever be abusing their partner.

First you all, is this person actively physically abusing him? If so, he should call the police to arrest her and get a restraining order ASAP.
Edited: my apologies for not reading closely and swapping the genders.

Then he’s out on the streets mumbling that he’s going to kill everyone. And hospitals don’t hold people for very long unless they’re being violent or accepting the help. There is literally no place or actions to be taken against these people under our current laws until they actually hurt someone.

That’s a good question. A monthly pass on the lirr is like 400 a month. And then unless you live in walking distance of Penn or Atlantic terminal, the monthly metro card is 127. So does driving with free parking cost more than 527 a month?
