Wrong. There are some small towns along 95 and after that have dark, winding roads as well. There are several wealthy towns that were never allowed to fully develop that almost feel like the country.

Depends where. Growing up, my town hardly ever canceled school, they seemed adamantly against it no matter how much snow we got and the adults always told us to get over it lol

County government might also help address the housing problems since a lot of towns are refusing to do so on their own because they have too much power.

It’s mass hysteria. Apparently nothing has ever smelled weird before this. So if it does, it must mean it’s from Ohio 🙄

The real history of this state and New England itself, which isn’t taught in schools, would shock you to the core.

And it sadly won’t stop unless there’s a massive overhaul of zoning laws which I highly doubt because of money and influence

I heard recently they’re fighting to try to preserve a closed down golf course instead of building new housing on it. Another NIMBY town.

From what I’ve been reading, there are still plenty of towns who have been fighting development and trying to preserve vacant lots and golf courses that have long since close down. So there’s still are places to build especially in the 495 towns but they keep fighting it tooth and nail. They even keep electing town officials who promise to fight back against further development if elected.

Many people still can’t comprehend that. If they did they probably be more outraged at the NIMBYs and local zoning laws

I say this all the time. Imagine how much better this state would be if those issues were addressed.
