Yeah actually I felt like it looked quite nice! Having a manicured line of trees with the Stonewall. It does give an attractive privacy barrier as opposed to just 8 foot tall wooden panels.

I didn’t know that about trees necessarily but it does make a lot of sense now that you mention it. One of my neighbors once upon a time was upset about another neighbor down the street clearing his wood line and I wasn’t exactly sure why but I do recall the noise level coming from that end of the road increased after he cut down all of those trees.

As a dog owner, I agree. I figured dogs could be an answer but it just seemed so prolific I wondered if maybe there was some other reason I wasn’t aware of. Someone said to keep deer out and i as someone who has deer eat half of what I plant I think that makes sense too

You know, I almost didn’t make this post bc I figured people wouldn’t know/or would crack jokes in the comments when I’m merely curious about the design feature- but being accused of being a thief is not one I had on my bingo card.

We Connecticut-ers Really should try to band together and get certain towns to update their zoning laws! Naugatuck recently did it where you no longer have to have 3 acres to have certain livestock. I’m not sure the exact wording but I’m pretty sure that you can have goats, chickens, even a cow, on much more realistic sizes of land. A lot of the zoning laws prevent people from actually being able to raise any decent amount of their own food in their own backyard. As long as the area is clean, not a nuisance to the neighborhood, and animals are cared for all towns should be updating this law! If a neighbor is allowed to run a leaf blower for five hours straight, the sound of clucking chickens or a mooing cow a couple times a day is negligible!
