No kidding. That's exactly the kind of store I want to support - small scale business, local focus. But their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. The same pack of local beer costs $4 more there than at any other grocery or liquor store. And a head of garlic is like $3.50. GTFO with that kind of extortion.

Darn things should be banned, with exceptions for folks with disabilities or aged 70+. Rakes work fine.

Take these stories to the press. Employers who do this deserve to be outed.

"we are respectful of your time out getting shit done" is Masshole for "I will block two full lanes of traffic as I try to make a left turn onto a busy road at rush hour because my time is more important than hundreds of other people's time."

Weather happens. If I had a business meeting so important a missed flight would crush me, I'd travel the day before.

I think you mean, our public transit system isn't sufficient to accommodate everyone's errands and obligations, and needs a lot more investment so everyone can use it, whatever their needs.

Providing people with the ability to get out of their cars is the point. Owning an automobile shouldn't be necessary to be a full participant in society.

We need more housing at all price levels right now. Yes, ideally there would be more affordable units being built, but having more market rate units will spread the demand a little thinner and help keep rents from rising as quickly as they would otherwise.

Getting pretty tired of inconsiderate jerks (ranging from wedding people at Tatnuck Country Club to the military) pretending there's not a major city whose residents are all affected by their noisemaking.

Vote yes. It'll cost the average homeowner about $35-40/year in property taxes, which will be bolstered by a statewide pool of real estate transaction surcharges that we gain access to if we enact the policy.
Worcester really, really needs this.

Bedlam has the best selection, tidepool the coolest space. Root and Press is a fun spot as well, but really more of a restaurant than a bookstore these days. Their food is great but the book selection seems smaller every time I pop in.

If Jet Blue needs the plane in Boston, they should drop off their passengers in Worcester and then fly it there. Putting people on the ground somewhere other than where they paid to be because they messed up their Boston operations is unacceptable.

70 is above the speed limit. If I'm passing cars going 70 it's not my problem if you want to go faster than that. You're just going to have to wait behind until I have a decent gap to move back over without getting stuck behind another truck or 90 year old going 50.
