Like I say to my wife when she points out flaws in movies... "it's all make-believe".
One show that was very realistic was The Expanse:

Punishment was for breaking an existing law at that time. Not for breaking it NOW.

Yeah, contradict the reality. Because that's on the this post picture.
And it's not the only time I see that in Europe. Almost every time are 4 people or more at a table, they will put that on, and is not negotiable.

But it is on the bill. It's either compulsory or they are trying to steal from you.
The fact that they take it off if you ask is irrelevant. They can take off the whole order if they wanted, it's their bill, their business.

Is not compulsory in US either. Just rude not to. If you can't afford to tip, eat at home - problem solved.

In US isn't mandatory either. You can walk out without paying the tip, is not even on the bill.
But, like in UK, if you try to eat there another time... gross stuff can land accidentally in your food.

Then it is attempt at stealing?
PS: In US you can also NOT PAY the tip. They won't call the cops on you but, like in UK. you better not try to eat there next time. Because... spit happens.

I though that Europeans are proud that they don't have to tip their waitress. Because they are "paid well enough".
"Gratuity" 12% is then... what?

The ZxR has also better DAC chips. Way better sounding IMO.

I am using for years now a Sound Blaster ZxR. It's sound is comparable with what you get from an external DAC plus entry level headphone amplifier.

That's false explanation.
The reality is that the material fibers vibrate and absorb energy from the internal soundwaves, dampening them.
SoNic67 t1_j96orv1 wrote
You will need to fill those with some sound absorbing material. And it would still create resonances, like any other closed back headphone.
Some people don't mind them...

Only in Slavic countries? In Romania we had written translations. Got to listen to beautiful American, Italian, French, heck even Russian artists directly.
When I was kid made me want to learn how to read faster.
My brain doesn't even notice anymore that I am reading a translation. Now, even if I speak fluent English, I still like the captions on, they add something to me.

The fallacy is that EQ will improve the sound. Like in "better than the mastering engineer with the artist decided it should sound".
And no, the sound engineers don't master on unobtanium headphones or monitors. They use off-the-shelf devices.
SoNic67 t1_j68pusn wrote
Harman EQ sucks. Is biased by an average listener preference. As in ipod user and mp3 listener.

I am talking about people that say the FFT is equal to impulse response because... math.
FFT implies infinite bandwidth.

Limit the mathematical model only to a couple of terms of the series, and see how "lossless" your transformation is.
