I mean, the guy was probably trolling so he's not worried about being blacklisted lol.
He didn't have to put a deposit down.
Buyers premium can't be paid if you don't have any money, so that's irrelevant.
The guy you're replying to is 100% correct that it's amazing anyone could have done this troll with apparently zero real consequences.

And your window blocked someone else's when it was built :)
Depending how old your building is, that person may be dead. Maybe even their children are dead.

This is exactly it.
You can't move to Manhattan and ask it to freeze in time just the way you found it.
If you want to live somewhere with no changes go buy a big plot of land in the middle of nowhere.
Cities change by definition. That's what makes them cities.

These are not open gangways unfortunately. You'll be trapped in a car with that mess.

I'm not. NYC should enter the 20th century. I do not like being trapped on a car with crazy people or nasty stuff.

Should we ban subways and buildings? Cities are made for people not buildings.

They don't mention motor vehicles. There's too many goddamn motor vehicles for a place that has banned them.
Police and park employees can walk or ride a bike (from what I see, most of them could use the exercise).

Mayor Adams appointed a transit advocate, Ya-Ting Liu, to fill a new role that was created by Mayor Eric Adams to improve how the city uses and manages its public spaces, including parks, plazas and streets.
From the article:
>She will also focus on citywide issues, such as helping to develop lasting guidelines for outdoor dining. Ms. Liu, who will work from City Hall with a team of four staff members, will take the lead on the mayor’s efforts to create and expand public spaces with $375 million in city funding, including reopening a popular skateboard spot below the Brooklyn Bridge.

Same thing with parking violations on fake or handwritten placards.
I'm convinced you could nearly fund the city by writing tickets on all fake placards and hand-written bullshit I see in dashboards of illegally parked cars. And yet you never see a single ticket. Funny.

He actually doesn't believe it's a problem.
Just ridiculous to pretend this is not an issue. Anyone who has set foot in NYC in the last 5 years knows this is a big problem.

Eh, I wouldn't say the MTA is "exceptional" for the most part. They drop the ball on really big, important things (and a lot of little but important things, like keeping the place clean).

We need to do projects big and small. It's important to do grand decades-long projects like GCM, upgrading tunnels under the Hudson, etc.

Probably because:
-
it is dangerous. People drive like assholes and kill other people and then can't be found and detained.
-
It demonstrates contempt for the law and the citizens you serve. If you don't want to serve citizens, great. Don't be a public servant for your job. No one is asking these assholes to be public servants.

Parking is not the issue. Every junior banker in the city could afford a dedicated spot if they wanted and still make more than these MTA clowns.
The reason they don't take the train is that it sucks and they are the reason.
