I really did consider all these tablet options before I just pivoted to getting a Galaxy S7FE as a writing tablet. The problem I had was justifying the price for a single purpose device that could not be repurposed to do anything else. The S7FE was $400, comes with a stylus, lasts about 3 days on a charge if taking notes, or about 11hrs of Youtube/Netflix otherwise. And since it is a full Android device with Samsung Sync, every note i take on it is instantly available on my phone too.

Reviewers are biased towards things they like. Watch a review of the same device by multiple reviewers and its clear where the biases are. Its upto you to decide whose views align with yours.

MKBHD emphasizes on Camera. Linus emphasizes on practicality. FlossyCarter emphasizes on in hand feel. UrAvgConsumer emphasizes on battery life.

I experienced it for the first time watching an online stream of a football match from a US channel. Its not even regular over the counter stuff. Ads for stuff that requires medication and a diagnosis. Why would anyone need to know the name of medicines that that a doctor hasnt prescribed ? They end with "ask your doctor about XXXXX today" ... Do they expect me to just run into my doctor at the supermarket and ask him about drugs ?

I have an odd feeling that the Private Jet used by a handful of executives to fly to meetings costs them more than a couple of Lyft rides cost.

The $200-a-month limit makes it sound like its costing them $200 per employee every month regardless of if they use Lyft or not. In reality its probably costing them far less, but it shows up on their balance sheets as potential future spends, so they are getting rid of the possibility of the expense ever occuring.

Apple does not have precedent of admitting fault in the past, but the Mac team in particular has gone back on their choices in the past few years, including publicly admitting that it didnt work out (Butterfly Keyboard, Ports, MagSafe).

On the iPhone side, they silently just add/remove features and dont mention it (TouchID on iPad, 3D Touch on iPhone)

So I see it possible that One of the 2024 iPhone (Pro Max/Ultra) will be portless, and its success will determine if the next years iPhone will stay portless or jump onto USB C.

Once again. The usefulness of a smartphone to a person is subjective. I don't see the appeal in having a substantially larger device in my pocket and lose one hand usability on a device that doesn't exactly do that much more than a regular smartphone. The advantages of having a 7.6inch inner screen are not substantial enough to me. Meanwhile, a phone that folds in half makes carrying it around easier and adds a notification display that prevents you from getting easily sucked into an app while checking notifications.

The sales numbers also seem to prove my point. The ZFlip adoption rate is much higher than the ZFold, and more importantly it is seen as a viable option to non Tech-enthusiasts. They place it right next to the S22 at the store and it's pretty clear that people are choosing it more often than the ZFold.
