But it’s legal? How can we have legal cannabis and have a cap on how many “plants” a person can garden? Trust me every Tom, dick and Harry is going to be growing outdoors this summer. Now I’m sure they would try to make examples of it of people, but it wouldn’t make it far. The cannabis cat is out of the bag.

I’m afraid this has been an ongoing issue since the very first “compassion” center “slater” opened its doors. Slater was caught spraying Eagle 20 on flowering plants, this was before testing. I’m sure they and other growers used it as well. Once the cultivators started growing, the all sprayed whatever the hell they wanted on flowering plants, spider mites after all can really cost you a fortune, of course introducing predator mites and ladybugs is just too hippy for these fast paced growers. Keep in mind all this cannabis was slated to be use by patients with medical conditions, some people with compromised immune systems and all sorts of disorders. Mold was almost a given during this time as well as banned pesticides. It wasn’t until the State finally, finally rolled out testing that they where finally caught, and their excuses where hilarious. In any event, if these growers are using irradiation machines to kill mold they dam well better disclose that on the packaging. Greed does funny things to people, they start off with the best intentions and then… it all goes to hell in a handbag. Best advice was from Neil young back in the day… home grown is a good thing, plant that bell and let it ring.

We have a lot of laws on the books that don’t pass constitutional muster. That’s just the way of Rogue Island, our forefathers committed arson and burned down the Gaspee, after going against the crown they made sure the right to bear arms was in the State constitution. Then 250 years later the State legislature banned so called king fu weapons, because they where afraid of the Ninja.

Well, it all comes down to money, or in this case other peoples money to be exact. How it would be funded and by what means. Our State already has quite the budget, and that budget is so large there seems to be a lot of waste in some areas and not enough funding in other areas. Government has a difficult time running anything efficiently, that is the core problem with government programs, they always seem to implode after they are implemented. Last year we had a budget surplus, however god only knows where that money went, I know we didn’t get a refund check. I suppose the State could implement a public transportation tax and keep it separate from the general fund, the key is… keep it separate from the general fund.

There is a remarkable planted pine forest across from Browning mill pond in Arcadia. Park across the street at the first small pond on your left, directly across is a small field, at the end of the field is the pine forest.

What the Italians in Westerly won’t share, is the exact recipe for their soupy. They will pass it down to family only. You almost need to be a made man to learn the way of the soupy. I can respect that. Glad to see the tradition still in practice. Good soupy is easy to buy, westerly packing, great soupy is given to you by someone you know, who knows a guy.

Yea, it’s time to go rogue solar. I’m either installing a grid tie inverter with zero export or 12kw split phase off grid inverter on a automatic transfer switch. Whatever I do won’t send my generated energy to Rhode Island energy, it’s a ripoff.

Well, if there is a surplus how about a tax refund to hard working Rhode Islanders? Lowering the sales tax .15%? Hello? Lower it back to where it was pre debtco crisis, after all the sale tax hike of 1% was only implemented as a temporary measure to bail out the credit unions back in the early 90s. Aid to education, sure pay for it with the cannabis tax make sure that money doesn’t end up in the general fund black hole.

Make your own, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup corn syrup, 1 cup water boil to hard crack stage 210 deg. Pour onto lightly greased sheet or stone counter top, fold in peppermint oil. Separate 1/4 dye with red food coloring. Fold and pull remaining 3/4 until it becomes white, roll into a cylinder, roll remaining red into two cylinders combine and twist, stretch and cut. Shape into classic candy cane shape and let cool.
