You’ll be lucky to get it late December. Most will be waiting til January and early February though.

Reply to iPhone battery consumption on 120hz by markaznar
Sounds more like a batter issue. I have the 14 Pro Max and with moderate usage with 120hz on its often a 2 day phone. If it’s an intense day it’s all day late into the night. 13 Pro Max should be about the same. Keep in mind though high brightness and whatever your doing can cause the drain the phone doesn’t lock to 120hz so that should help it last a long time like it does for most.

Get the 13 Pro Max it’s not far off from the 14 Pro Max and should last for quite some time.

Unless you can get a crazy deal on one or be able to find one your better off waiting at this point. Won’t be a big upgrade for most people.

If you wanted one sooner the latest you should have ordered would have been October, I always warn family and friends that once November hits it can get crazy and this year is no exception. In the last month things have just gotten crazy between high demand and the issues with COVID related lockdowns and protests causing delays in manufacturing. But as usual with every year expect to see availability prop up in February and by March you should be able to walk into most stores and get the model you want.

Uh it’s a known worldwide shortage that’s been an issue especially the last month or so. Wait times are upwards of 6 weeks and are into January. You’ll be lucky to find any of the Pros in store.

Choose a different photographic style or tone down what you don’t like after the photo is taken. In my experience the 14 Pro Max I have is far more consistent at taking photos than even the 13 Pro which was never as bad as what you describe. Very few photos I took were ever ‘over processed’. I’ve been very impressed so far.

You can’t. The good news is things will continue it improve with time and iOS 16.1.1 is quite stable in my experience.

Reply to 99% Capacity after 2 months. by [deleted]
That’s fine at that rate you’d need to replace the battery after two or so years which is the average. For some people 1% a month is normal.
TWYFAN97 t1_iy54qp8 wrote
What are you asking? At 82% you’d probably have several months of use before it needs to be replaced. After 2-3 years of consistent use a phone battery needs to be replaced as it will drop to 80% or below battery health.

Reply to When will Apple have reverse-wireless charging capabilities in their iPhones? by TheHunter920
I doubt it will ever fully come to iPhone. The reality is most people don’t know about it or wouldn’t use it to begin with. Think about it what are you really gonna use with it? It can be used to charge some smartwatches that can already last a full day if not more on a charge, earbuds also last for a long time and charging another smartphone is silly and painfully slow.
So no I doubt it will ever come and most won’t care if it does because it’s honestly a gimmicky feature that’s essentially a cool party trick. Oh and to clarify since the iPhone 12 reverse wireless charging tech has already been present and in use, for example when using a MagSafe battery pack and it’s attached to the phone if you plug the cable directly into the iPhone the phone will charge first then the phone will wirelessly charge the MagSafe battery pack.

They should look about the same especially video. But pictures even coming from the 13 Pro are more consistent and are detailed and look great.

I can get two days with moderate use even with 120hz on with the 14 Pro Max, 13 Pro Max is supposedly even better. Something may be wrong with your phone. It’s an all day phone only if it’s a really heavy day using it such as high brightness and lots of camera use. S22 Ultra can barely go past a full day for most.

Battery life is MUCH better than the Ultra. Sustained performance and raw SOC performance is better on the iPhone. An iPhone with a battery replacement a few years down the line can last 7-8 years with OS updates.

I’ve yet to notice any scratches of concern on my 14 Pro Max after having it since launch. Maybe something’s wrong with yours? I even had the 13 Pro and I would have to look real hard to see anything.

Could be a defect or stress fracture related to manufacturing. Doesn’t have hurt for apple to check as it would be obvious if it were from workmanship or physical damage due to handling.

Yes a battery below 80% capacity requires a replacement new battery. Basically the battery can’t output the proper voltage to keep the phone running as fast or stable. So it’s up to her does she want to keep the phone another year or two and get a bee battery or is she ready for a new phone? For pictures also make sure the lens is clean.

There’s no way to run the beta profile or update to iOS 16 on the 6s it’s too old as it’s been 8 years now, 6s had a great run though miles better than anything on android which are lucky to get 4 or 5 years.

I could see a slight design tweak. Improved cameras and likely a periscope lens on the 15 Ultra or whatever they call it. Pill shape will likely remain the same size for some time but USB-C could be definitely happen then be removed in 2-3 years time for full on wireless.

I don’t go by that because it’s an irrelevant and inconsistent metric for measuring battery life. But generally between 7-12 hours over a day and a half of use. Again if your getting a full day and then some using the phone it’s a non issue. Generally I end most days with day 40-50% of battery left if I’m unusually hard on the phone sometimes less.

All day and often into the next. With light to moderate use you can easily get two days out of the phone. I’m also a heavy user frequently.

Yeah I wouldn’t do that to a high end phone especially when I’m already getting crazy battery with it on. You also shouldn’t be seeing much of an improvement locking your phone to 60hz since because it’s a variable 120hz for example with the 10-120hz refresh rate the phone can depending on what your doing go well below 60hz to save even more battery life it is more practical to leave the feature on to save battery life.
Again if your having battery issues with 120hz ProMotion on that is not normal. The battery tests have been done with the feature on and the Max phones have easily beaten out android counterparts and obviously other iPhones. See what else could be the issue since most people can get 2 days if not a bit longer with the Max.
