Yes very normal most people drain say 5-10% on average each night if not on a charger. The radios in the phone and apps/notifications will still have some impact on idle battery drain that’s to be expected.

What’s not normal is say draining 20% overnight maybe on an android device that’s normal but iOS is efficient enough that’s not an issue.

Return it and get the larger capacity you need. Your well within the return period.

Yeah that’s a tough one then. I always feel people at least for most the Max is a two handed phone and if you can’t get used to the weight/within a week the smaller phones may be a better option.

If you don’t like the weight maybe go for the Plus? I got used to the weight of the 14PM pretty quick and I have pretty small hands too, the screen and battery life make the phone worth it for me. Other iPhones feel too small now.

Apple doesn’t go around arbitrarily removing a feature from random phones it doesn’t work like that. ALL OLED iPhones have the option to turn of view full HDR it’s a feature of the freakin display. If you have an LCD iPhone like the 11 or any other LCD iPhone the feature will not be present.

People who compare an iPhone to DSLR don’t know cameras. An iPhone will never replace DSLR’s and for a smartphone it takes excellent pics but has its limitations whereas a high end dedicated DSLR doesn’t. You can reduce sharpness when you edit the photo after it’s taken. Or play around with the various photographic styles and you can edit your own. ProRaw will get you more comparable results to a DSLR especially if you set it to 48MP.

You can also look at third party camera apps if you wish to tweak things even more.

Nothing defective about it if you don’t like the way the photo was processed play with photographic styles or create your own. The other option is to shoot in ProRaw which is also how you can activate the 48MP images. But never compare any smartphone camera to a dedicated cam or DSLR.

For day to day pics 14 Pro takes some of the best pics I’ve seen on a phone using the photographic styles and 12MP binned images and even better with ProRaw, but again don’t try comparing to a dedicated camera setup with larger lenses.

I would say the regular iPhone 12 but you mention your budget is limited, so for the best mix of battery life and usability the iPhone 11 wins. Although you do end up with a not as sharp or bright LCD screen and no 5G, but the phone is still plenty fast, solid battery life and great cameras while having night mode on the main sensor. The 12 mini has atrocious battery life and he SE isn’t much better while having a dated design.

I don’t think the iPhone is boring. It never has been, and with customization options more than ever with the lock screen and widgets it’s even better. But if you’ve used iPhones all your life it can feel stale after a while and then you appreciate things like the ecosystem and reliability from the cameras, battery life and overall experience.

I myself tried android a few times from Galaxies to Pixels and while they had some cool features they didn’t win me over with anything and the experience wasn’t as polished or had as much of an ecosystem like apple.
