I just remember when one of these channels went to Putnam Town Hall fully prepared to do their antagonistic thing. Then Barney Seney came in and gave them a full tour and they visibly broke character and loved the guy.
Shows me that a lot of it is just clickbait and semi-staged on their ends. They want to be confrontational and for town employees to get uncomfortable and that’s just mean.

I’ve always thought Gil can sometimes slip into hyperbolic language a bit too easily. Bob Maxon (out this morning though) is a lot more even handed and soothing to listen to.

Truly the end of an era. I do have to say, even if he had to stop for water a handful of times during the speech, he’s still looking like he’s in pretty good health all things considered.
Smart move to leave now while he still has some good years left in him, not like Thad Cochran who left barely knowing where he was and died a year later or Chuck Grassley who’s going to die in office.

Reply to CT's legislature salaries are starvation wages, $28k/year. You have to be retired or rich to serve. This is regressive and should be changed. by MormonReformist
Lucky for you it was just bumped to 40k, indexed for the future, and leadership almost always finds some obscure extra role for members so they get extra money.
