I love the book. It’s very weird and takes a lot of choices I would never take as a writer, which is why I think it’s left such an impact on me. Genuinely left me shocked a few times. The movie is a shitty adaptation, but I was enjoying it till the end….and then the ending completely killed it for me. That movie really fucked itself over with how terrible the ending was
