It’s literally the term…. Sure it’s not a union but still fits for folks working in the face of a strike or walk out. But you’re right in sure my words are the real harmful thing happening to those folks. It’s calling people scabs that causes poverty

One person didn’t want to take a training over the holidays and asked if they could do it later and they were removed immediately. Another person pushed back on the rules being too strict and got into an argument with the person in charge and was removed. Myself I was removed for bringing those first two mods back, and likely for pushing the top mod to work collaboratively with the rest of the team - I sent messages for weeks on modmail and didn’t hear from them until I was removed as a mod. Oh and for the record I waited for a vote before reinstating those mods and every single mod (aside from the one who demodded me) who weighed in agreed we should bring back the previously removed mods.

So maybe confusing maybe too many details but long story short? We wanted the top mod to share some of the control of the sub (redo rules, be less strict at times especially on popular content and let users have more of a say vs one user) and that was apparently worth being removed from the team over.
