See no reason why this would be moved and it’s already been approved to stay.

It’s actually pretty popular in New York and when the developer isn’t a scumbag a good look for all.

Yep, then they could capture some revenue from renting the space. Instead they allow them to just be thrown around neighborhoods and take up sidewalk / crosswalk and sometimes even street space with no revenue gained from the city for the inconvenience, and less accessible sidewalks for everyone else.

Yeah its reallllly stupid

Would be great if the companies were forced to more tightly regulate where / how their product is stored. Really don't want to be one of those city's where bird scooters are lying around everywhere making the streets less ADA accessible. Lord knows our city is too cozy with tech and cares too little for its citizens to actually regulate these companies, or their riders.

I don’t mind them in principal, just don’t love it as a requirement as it just provides another potential barrier to getting housing built.

I think both are overly restrictive. We need to make building housing easier, not harder.

Not really. It’s highly relevant. I think the city should cut down on cars as well. Has nothing to do with regulating another hazard.

That’s just textbook whataboutism. I also think it’s silly to have parking requirements in construction

It’s not left alone, the whole city is switching to electrify and get off natural gas. There’s been massive amounts of legislation passed to do it this year.
Yes I agree they are better than the alternative, but doesn’t mean they should be unregulated.

No thanks. That’s just another requirement that makes it harder to get RFP’s approved and drives up the cost of construction.

Don’t need to ask me. You can read the article That’s really clear that this is not a crime. No need to get upset at others because of your own confusion or need to feel persecuted.

This story is about a labor violation, hence the fine. If they prosecute this as a crime that would be great, but the article is about the labor violation and subsequent fine.

It’s a labor violation which unfortunately isn’t considered a crime. Despite the fact that wage theft is the largest type of theft in America each year

I don’t think Tolkien would care but neither of us know? You could say “did Tolkien want this shot in HD? Do you think he wanted this to be streamed online?” It’s really got nothing to do with him. I personally don’t mind the race blind casting. I think only a small portion of folks seem to…..also this has nothing to do with the comment you responded to?

I think they did the castings race blind vs race conscious. I think race blind is better. I can ignore that some elves are black and some are white, I don’t need a genealogical explanation of why. It’s a fantasy tv show.
