Reply to Are closets required in bedrooms? by HomeBeets
I live in a 100 plus year home in Boston and closets were not in every bedroom, and these are indeed bedrooms. A real bedroom is like obscenity, you know it when you see it. A closet doesn’t make a mud room a bedroom.

Reply to Can a former employer mention that someone was let go in a reference in Massachusetts? by Limulemur
That why it’s called a reference. They can absolutely state that you were terminated and whether they would hire you again. Most don’t want to open up the door to litigation, so they don’t share too much to save the time and money (they would almost certainly win short of something truly egregious by them which is almost impossible to prove). I’d be more concerned about how you will speak to the situation that lead to the letting go. We all have bumps in the road, most people are reasonable. Good luck.

Carolwood Pacific Railroad (which ran in Walt’s backyard). 1:8 scale and guests were able to ride, and sometimes even drive, its steam locomotive, Lilly Belle.

An amazing run for a company selling a non-essential commodity. Hopefully they can weather the shifting winds, but I think downsizing was inevitable competing with battery powered candles and plug-in scents.

Austin is a shit show, makes Boston commute a joy. Rapid transit is a joke, where it even exists, in that state. Hoping for the best, but am flummoxed that there wasn’t someone with a better track record for us here.

Reply to comment by SmittyFjordmanjensen in Did I make a mistake watching the final cut of Apocalypse Now? by [deleted]
That’s been some folks opinion since film’s release, others do not agree. I think it’s more the well documented circumstances that lead to Coppola’s own decent into a little madness during production and there were just far too many loose ends in what was shot to make the narrative as compelling as it was the first two thirds or so (Francis was never the same director after this for sure).
Prior to Brando screwing the pooch, he did a great job with the madness/fog of war feel.
Imperfect as the ending is, It’s still one of the best movies ever made. I think we can all agree on that.
Best to you.
Tombstone_Shadow t1_j1z4mqj wrote
The final third is a bit muddled regardless of cut. Redux is interesting for the hardcore fan, but doesn’t really warrant repeated viewing, that stuff was cut for a reason. I prefer original release, the first two thirds being just about perfect.
