That condo stuff is sometimes BS. The condo companies sometimes "give" a local celebrity a fully furnished condo for a year, so they can market the other $1 million condos to people who might want to live next door to Chase Utley or whoever.
The actual celebs have their "real" houses in the burbs,

"On Wednesday, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner dropped his opposition to the appeal, opening a potential — though far from assured — avenue to freedom for Abu-Jamal, an outcome that had previously seemed impossible."
“District Attorney Larry Krasner did the right thing when he withdrew his office’s appeal in Mumia Abu-Jamal’s case,” the Amistad Law Project, a Pennsylvania-based prisoner advocacy and prison abolitionist organization, wrote in a statement. “This shows commitment to individualized justice.”

According to new "witnesses" there was another guy in Mumia's brother's car who was the real shooter, but the brother never said this or named this phantom.
"At the post-conviction review hearings, new witnesses were called. William "Dales" Singletary testified that he saw the shooting and that the gunman was the passenger in Cook's car."
"Singletary's account contained discrepancies which rendered it "not credible" in the opinion of the court."
"The six judges of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania ruled unanimously that all issues raised by Abu-Jamal, including the claim of ineffective assistance of counsel, were without merit."

This scam went back to at least the '80s. "Acoustic Monitor speakers with polyurethane woofers and tweeters" supposedly bound for Pulsations Nightclub or somewhere else. They had paperwork showing the value to be at $10,000 but would give them up for a quick $300 in cash
In reality they were worth less than $25.

New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore, St Louis, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, New Orleans, Boston all have similar District Attorneys and all have similar murder numbers.
Chester, PA and Camden, NJ murder numbers are down. They also have reasonable DAs.

There a bunch of Inquirer employees on this sub who will downvote you anytime you try to get around the paywall. Fewer than a dozen.

Likewise, if the DA isn't doing to prosecute, he should step down, too.

They are. They are currently short 1300 officers. Your solution to crime is that 1000 more should quit? How will that work out for the hardest-hit communities?

"Students like Bortman and Elsakhawi say that the university staff has used multiple tactics to 'harass' and intimidate students."
"Protesters have posted on social media that at least one university official was holding a decibel meter at a recent rally. Students believe the official was using the meter to see if the rally exceeded 85 decibels, which Penn deems an “unreasonable noise level” at which a rally can potentially be shut down."
That's not really harassment, is it? Measuring the decibel level to see if exceeds the allowed limits? These kids would have been awful in the Civil Right marches in the '60s when dogs and fire hoses were used, and people went to prison for their convictions.

Not every criminal literally leaves a receipt in the car.

Here is a non-paywall version of the Inquirer article:
"Vanore said that police were led to Bivins by a receipt found in the stolen Ford Explorer allegedly used as the getaway vehicle. The receipt was for ammunition that Bivins had purchased in a South Philadelphia gun shop, he said."
