Same actually. My dad failed a school assignment when he was a kid because the teachers were like "there is no way your grandfather is a civil war vet" .
Little do they know his grandfather married a 20 year old when he was 80 🤮

I thought bean flannels were always cotton? Same as vt flannel co.
I the ones that have held up for years for me are definitely cotton. I cant wear wool because it makes my skin break out in hives lol.

The bean ones hold up longer in my experience.

Where can you find a quality flannel for less than $80 in this economy though.
Vt flannels are more like $100 now. I still refuse to buy them. They dont hold up.

I would reccomend carrying them on your pack if you can and are unfamiliar terrain though. Ran into a lot of situations when exploring where I thought a trail would be popular. And its not. And I end up postholeing to my waist and turning around.

But pretty much every single outdoor trail in the winter will have a skin track

Assuming we get a good winter things will freeze over. There is ice fishing in some higher elevation ponds pretty regularly. Lake champlain doesn't really freeze until feb now.

Kind of a dice roll. It will either be 0 and windy. Or 65 and raining. No way to predict.

That being said I reccomend walking out onto the colchester causeway. Its really cool

If they went to the mall or some shit and ripped out an elevator door they would probably be charged for vandalism. Or destruction of property.
Also landlords can and do go after people in court for exessive damage.

Well they should. But if the college comes down on them their parents might pull that sweet sweet full tuition from the school.

Lol if someone the same age wasn't in college they would probably be facing charges. Idk why they don't hold them accountable as adults.

I don't think the mountain road is a feasible place to stay. On busy holidays traffic backs up all the way from the mountain to the town you might get stuck.
I would say stowe is an interesting town to visit if you don't ski. Plenty of shops and breweries.
Twombls t1_iyw6wgy wrote

Avoid stowe on holidays. Its a traffic nightmare and everything is way too expensive. Ski tickets are over $200 a day. The mountain road becomes a 3 hour backup.
For a first time skiier I reccomend bolton or smuggs.
Also theres a very big chance of there being no snow on Christmas.
The "direct" road beteen stowe and smuggs is closed in the winter

Town ordinances requiring legally parked cars to be towed just because they look decrepit are so stupid.
However it is a tough call when they break down in the way of things. Like the infamous burlington bus.
