Funny thing about that. My nephew had his truck stolen in Concord when he had a medical issue.
He gets, more or less, better in a couple days, so he goes to try and track it down. MIA.
Months go by and he's been moved from hospital to hospital and he finally gets a notice from a storage yard in Manchester that the storage bill has come due. Yeah. It was hauled off a street in Manchvegas, and hauled to a yard.
The bill found HIM before he found the car. Evidently, a lost car is only searched for in the town that it's lost in. Its like 'too much effort' to have a state listing of VINs that could be searchable?

The article amounts to the author's opinion and hand waving.
Could it be written to let the democrats let themselves down, now that they've volunteered to make themselves irrelevant in the national elections?

Uh huh. You beclowned yourself by using 'trustworthy' and 'NBC' in the same sentence.
Not here for your virtue signaling or actions as a self imposed political officer.

Not a chance. The capital cost on that last study was $200M. Fares wouldn't cover the operating expense and the state would be on the hook for $6M in outright subsidy. That doesn't include debt service.
On that basis, in terms of 'short' or 'long' term, 'cheap' doesn't get anywhere near the conversation.

Buses are cheaper, by far, than the operating and capital cost of bringing back rail.
That is no conspiracy.

That lawyer isn't, likely, authorized to speak to you. If you want to speak to anybody, speak to your Town Planner and get their take on it. Its possible that they have an opinion that agrees with yours.

Avoided cost isn't a savings. The meanings are not interchangeable. Renewables, like solar and wind are only available 25% and 35% of the time.
How much would we have saved if we kept VT Yankee going?
'Decreasing the cost of power' would have it well below a .10, seeing that's where it was even a couple years ago.
VT has a helluva plan.
ISO NE is hanging on by it's fingernails.

Did you actually say 'save' ratepayers a billion dollars?
Yet, with all the renewables on line, regional power costs have doubled, and show no signs of abating.
The author is correct. Admit it to yourselves. Doing something that's expensive for nothing other than virtue signaling is both dumb and pointless.
