Depending on the ship, tonnage can mean either displacement mass, internal space, or carrying capacity.

If you jump him you got a 1/21 chance of dying, assuming he kills two of you, plus the risks of going back to the front. If you don’t you are almost certainly safe. I don’t like the odds of fighting.

The US strategic helium reserve will last for about a century at the current consumption rate. After that, helium will have to be pulled from the atmosphere. It’s more expensive than mining it, but we already use the same process for gases with a lower concentration. We’re not running out of helium.
That said, fuck balloons.

Reply to comment by VivendusMoriendumEst in Using the ESO’s VLT, astronomers have discovered the heaviest element ever found in an exoplanet atmosphere — barium. They discover barium at high altitudes in the atmospheres of the ultra-hot gas giants WASP-76 b and WASP-121 b — two exoplanets, planets which orbit stars outside our Solar System. by MistWeaver80
From what I understand, the spectrometers only see well into the upper atmosphere, the lower atmosphere has too much noise to provide useful data.
