The house my ex and I bought in Western Ma didn’t have a single closet.

We got maybe 7 or 8” in Greenfield and just 15 miles away in Ashfield they got nearly two feet. Definitely some of the heaviest I’ve shoveled in years.

I’ve seen good things on the local Facebook page and have a coworker that said the pizza was great.

Yeah, adds a great insulating layer without killing all your natural light.

Get some bubble wrap, cut it to the size of the windows, spritz the windows with water and smooth the wrap on - bubble side to the window then use a plastic sheet insulating kit. We lived in a 200 year old house with old leaky single pane windows and doing this made a huge difference.

When my Mum said “ when I was a little girl” it usually meant pre 1940, though it could have been the early 40s.

My Mum told me about doing the same when she was a little girl back in the 30s.

It’s been all over the local Facebook page for months, pretty sure they’re putting the rent into an escrow account.

Lived on the second floor of an old farmhouse once and our second exit was an inner staircase that went down into the land ladies apartment on the first floor. Was there when there was a inspection for recertification and it was deemed okay.

I’ve lived in two locations since being here, both within walking distance of downtown which I really like, can decide to catch a movie or go grab a bite and be there in 15 minutes, can walk to the farmers market etc. We could definitely use better public transportation. The housing market has become extremely tight. I last moved just as COVID hit and really lucked into a sizable cheap place. I rent from a private landlord and haven’t seen the kind of increases some other folks I know that rent from property companies have. This is pretty much a working class town with all its inherent issues like any other but I find the small amenities suit my quiet lifestyle.

I’ve been in Greenfield for over 20 years and quite like it. It’s more of a big town than a small city. It has its good and bad neighborhoods like any town. I like that we have a coop, an independently owned grocery and an independently owned theater. Hawks and Reed is a great music venue. We have some good restaurants and funky small shops. Anything you can’t find here can be found in a 30 mile radius including major shopping, museums outdoor recreation etc.

We have a kids parade for Halloween here that they call a Rag-Shag, wonder if that has something to do with the name.

Took mine in Greenfield, the route was maybe all of three miles and they had a single vehicle parked for you to parallel park behind, did not have to squeeze between two vehicles.
