I would absolutely lurk in that sub absorbing knowledge and plotting what I would do to my acre if I ever had both time and money at the same time.

Honestly, there's enough mercury contamination from old hat factories in Bridgeport and Danbury that it could be built in any of the vacant contaminated lots and abandoned contaminated buildings. There's absolutely no need to put a power generation facility on clean ground.

You Ned absolutely should take credit for not wasting the Wyndham on tax cuts like a Republican would and has in the past. He did the responsible thing and used the windfall to pay down debts like a financially reasonable Democrat does.

If they are doing that much sidewalk space they can easily buy those socialized snow removal ATV-like machines that the wealthy buildings use.

I would be more reasonable about the time it takes but I would fully expect them to clear all sidewalks, in all 4 boroughs, faster, better and far more efficiently than it currently is done.

As they should for a dirty, outdated, polluting technology that there are MUCH better alternatives for. Hell, just spinning up our nuclear plant past 50% would solve this exact problem without building anything or increasing pollution. Our government should be subsidizing clean energy generation and doing everything in their power to move away from dirty fossil fuels.

I never use my pickup for towing but I sure as shit use it to carry building supplies on the roof rack, a couple rolling toolboxes in the bed and whatever large job site tools I need for that day in the bed.

With that said. I unload at a building for the day and then go pay a garage to guard my pickup because it cost more than most high end luxury cars and absolutely sucks to park anywhere in the borroughs.

I disagree with your assumption that more pickup owners in NYC don't use their truck for work and would actively argue it's the opposite. Most vehicle owners in NYC tend to own smaller vehicles that are MUCH easier park. It's extremely uncommon to see a pickup in NYC without a rack on top for ladders and stuff. It's actually why they stand out so much

Bikes and every other form of vehicle should be required to go in the direction of traffic only. So on a one way street, they could only go that one way. By all means, if there's that much bike congestion, add a second lane just make sure it follows the same one ways as every other vehicle is required and also make sure there are traffic cops ready to physically tackle and ticket anyone going the wrong way.

And increase tolls for cars everywhere there are tolls in the city, And increase traffic police enforcement of all road laws for both private cars, commercial vehicles, scooters bikes and every other vehicle. Fines should be changed to a percentage of last year's income as reported on their tax return so they punish everyone equally.

If they dedicate the extra income from just those for public transit, we could all ride free on our new mag Lev subways.

Housing stocks are literally at an all time low in CT because so many people moved here during COVID.

That changes nothing about you being 100% correct about CT needing a complete overhaul on highways, parkways and massive investment into public transit and making cities and towns more walkable/bikeable.
