Thanks for your answer. Really appreciate it.
I also liked 1899, think these creators are one of the few ones I totally follow and hope Netflix continues working with them, even as a prestigious move (like they buy the distribution rights to some award winner movies and documentaries) although the views are not bad as you said.
Haven't checked out Sonic Prime actually. But yeah it's doing pretty good and Netflix will continue it.
I think Castelvania and Arcane had set the bar so high people get easily bored if show doesn't start great. Which is a shame cause I liked the world and Lore of DA.

What's your opinion on 1899? Less than 40m households watched it. Considering 60 m bodget will it get renewed?
Sandman had around 150m budget (15m per episode) and got renewed with less than 50m households watch.
Lookism getting to the top ten for second week is a good sign right? Or was it a week with not much foreign shows?

That Dance scene... Heard Ortega did the choreography herself.
Yes I agree, very fun and binge worthy show. It also was a surprise somehow, I know it is Tim Burton but i didn't have a lot of hope.
Ortega and Thing were the best part imo.

>Is it possible and are the two series somehow related?.....
They said there's no connection between the two. Don't wanna repeat ourselves kinda thing. So you can enjoy it, it's very enjoyable and addictive and well made. I couldn't stop binge watching honestly. It's easier to watch (on the surface at least) and you can go on r/1899 for more help.
Creators said 1899 is both for fans of Dark and casual viewers (in RT interview) maybe that's the reason. I personally know some people who haven't enjoyed first couple episodes of Dark and enjoyed 1899 very much.
But in the end you should give it a watch yourself to make sure (and please watch it in first 28 days, it's what Netflix really care about, and imo start with 1899).

Reply to 1899 Is A Phenomenal! A Worthy Spiritual Successor To Dark - It Succeeds Where Dark Failed by AnakinRagnarsson66
>1899 Is A Phenomenal...
You're right. It's my favorite show of the year (haven't watched Andor). I love creative people getting all the budget they want to make their crazy dreams real. Can't wait for next seasons ,especially after that ending!
>... Where Dark Failed
Now you're hurting my feelings, Dark was a phenomenal show and I haven't found any major flaws in it after multiple rewatches. It's one of the few shows that you can easily say is masterpiece and almost no one can say you're exaggerating.
Although I enjoyed first season of 1899 more than first season of Dark I still think Dark was better, and 1899 has a long way to surpass it and it's not easy at all.
>Even after it picked it up, it was still sort of boring and slow in some parts in later seasons...
Being bored is a very personal opinion, I for one never got bored with it and was always in awe and just couldn't stop watching it tbh. A great story getting unfold, great visual, a mystery in play... Very hard to be bored imo.
>So far I'm on episode 4, and it's all so skillfully done...
Wait for the 5th and 6th episodes, they're great. Final is also a bang.

Yes, I've some people say he's not similar to Charles but I agree that a great actor with less similarities is always better than a normal look alike actor.

Seems like everyone is praising Ortega and I'm very happy for her, one of the newest scream queens.
Have high hopes for it, hope it's equally fun and spooky.

It's the first week it made it to first.
Las week HotD was growing and ROP, on contrary.
I think HodT had the power to make a very good final with good storytelling. Well done!

"In London, the most talented teenage ghost-hunters journey nightly into dangerous combat with deadly spirits. Among the many adult-staffed corporate agencies, one small startup is alone: Lockwood & Co, operated by two teenage boys and a psychically gifted girl who are a renegade trio free of financial motives, adult supervision and destined to unravel a mystery that will change history's course."
Didn't know this show exists. Sounds as fun as Attack the Block and hopefully as good. Netflix horrors is spot on.
