Also, far North. In Siberia the EVs are basically useless. No one has heated garages, and temperature can hit -30 for weeks, and go down to like -50s Celsius. Hybrids could be possible, but it's hard to outdo gas in this setup. Especially since it's also providing lots of heat
So, while close to the equator you can easily switch to EV for city use at least, in the north it's not always going to work. And I think it's also not that great when you live in a flat without easy access to a charger.

Dang, missed the underground park. Yeah it's not a problem if your parking space is above freezing temp.

It will work as a bonus for everyone with ICE in winters as you can install special heating elements (simplest ones are basically heated oil rod) as they keep the car engine warm and toasty.
Which means less wear, faster start, and less idling, which is already good for the environment, even if they can't/won't switch to EV or hybrids

I think you wouldn't like it. It's probably like standing in the middle of a very busy 12-lane road where every second car is blasting music from open windows.
We have radio waves all around us.

Would you mind if I try translating it? Any specific recommendations?
As far as I understand, the names are female, but I should do my best to keep them referring to themselves as genderless as possible.

Yeah, same. I'm so tired of it that I genuinely considered just picking up soldering and replacing all that nonsense with white LEDs every time I find something I like that only offers "crazy rainbow".
55 million colors and none of them is white, my ass.

I love white accessories with white LEDs. I'm speaking NZXT peripherals and Logitech Illuminated keyboards.
However the "gamer design" world seems to be stuck in something like a fever dream from late 80s with jagged edges that are all rainbow lights everywhere.

She is the nicest, gentlest kitty there every lived. She used to be a pregnant stray and always behave like no bad can ever happen to her and there is no danger in the world at all. I am surprised she could survive in the streets of Saint-Petersburg, but I'm glad we rescued her!
So the point is, that little lady never bit me once in her life and allowed me to pet and scratch any part of her belly or even her paws. I love that cat and I'm glad that she lives with my friend now, they completely spoil her)

Yeah, I believe they're just wary of newcomers trying to insert straight into the Wiki. It's forums first, then sandbox, then it gets into the Wiki.
I'm still scared how many new articles are there now. When I learned of the Wiki, there were just a bit over a thousand I think.
Then there was also a big purge, where a lot of popular articles were thoroughly cleaned up, and most mentions of godlike doctors were removed, because they seemed to start taking over everything with their self-inserts. Plus some of them were "handed over" to other Organizations. And still... Thousands.
Impressive.

Maybe if the US is opposed, and China is angry, then combined they have enough force to push back. But if China or USA says "yeah that's perfect" then the last big market gates will fall

I think this is it. Sites are trash and most of the content is trash.
As soon as I see a new Jay Foreman video, he gets my complete and undivided focused attention for the whole 15 minutes. A new MyMechanics? 25 minutes with zero interruptions. And it's not about flashy clip attention or whatever these assholes claim.
Whenever I watch a GOOD cartoon or series that don't muck around, I put down my phone and watch it intensely.
However a lot of content is just trash, or borderline trash. No, sorry, I'm not spending a full minute looking at that tiktok video. Not because I have deficit of attention, but because it's like watching paint dry. And it doesn't matter if you use clip style or not.

Reply to Almost 40% of domestic tasks could be done by robots ‘within decade’ | Artificial intelligence (AI) by Gari_305
They already do.
I've lived without a dishwasher for a few years and it was nightmare.
I've had a robot vacuum for less than a year and I hate it without it now and want it back.
And the washing machine is a game changer.
These three are a backbone of home automation.
Another HUGE thing is the multipot, not sure what's it's called in English. It can make perfect sushi rice 10 times out of 10. It prepares really nice pilav for you. It can make the soup. It automates a lot of food processing stuff.
So basically the only big thing for me that robots can't do yet is dusting, washing the bathrooms (I've seen the big ones that do but they're the size of a fridge) and preparing food as in cleaning and chopping. But you can do that with multiple small kitchen appliances.
Oh and another one is the window washing robot. I don't have one but I've seen a lot of people say these are great.
