Pretty much all Tandem drivers drive weaving and/or speeding. Because drivers are paid by the load, not the hour. You can't see them texting or on phone as they are high up. But other truckers see them, and its 20tonnes or more, moving over the speed limit,...

Dunno about police stations but the indoctrination of American children at these Chinese Schools, that are funded by China's PRC, to promote "Chinese Culture" to young American children (Asian-American and others...).

Even their teachers are hired and required to sign paperwork NDAs about where their funding comes from.

How can you have "tuition-free" charter schools in the US? They are funded by China.

"Indoctrination starts at a young age..." ... and the spin now is more about books but not that there is a Mandarin school setup in most counties...

Don't have to be their ethnic to enjoy their ethnic foods!

We grew up with potato pancakes, and best with sour cream and salt. Applesauce on the side. Also things called pierogis. Some stuffed with sauerkraut and mushrooms. And then smoked kielbasa with some horserasdish dip.

Funny, being of European descent, I find Asian food, Indian food, and now, Spanish foods to have a wonderful selection of spices that are missing from most foods I grew up with.

Friend has this cool rock collection (geology, not music). I look at one and its really amazing. He's like, want it? Can I? and then tells me its petrified wood from the Petrified forest and ...

its poaching/theft as that is a protected park.

(no, I didn't take the offer. But I did give him shit and said the gods would be appeased if he mailed it back to the park service...)

Apple said last week it also predicts that revenue growth will slow down in the next quarter.

Gee, ya think they knew this was coming?

Also, Foxconn has told employees it would pay more for those not to leave. The Washington Post now reports that a growing number of iPhone workers are walking out of the plant, with no plans to return.

Foxconn has denied the reports of failure to provide adequate food and medication, and said that it is offering transport to any workers who wish to leave the plant and return home. The iPhone assembler also says it is arranging additional production capacity at smaller plants, to help make up the shortfall.

Additionally, to deter workers from leaving or refusing to work, the company is offering free meals and a bonus of around 1,500 yuan ($200) for anyone who works all of their shifts from October 26 to November 11. This is around 20% of their monthly salary.
