Reply to The guy who makes comic book movies says that people will never get sick of comic book movies by _hiddenscout
I remember when Green Lantern was supposed to be the sign of the end of superhero movies. Also, one of the X-Men movies (either the third one or the Wolverine origin one, I forget which) and I'm pretty sure one of the pre-MCU Spider-Men had the starting pistol for the end of superhero cinema as well. People don't really get sick of a genre; they get sick of bad movies. And say what you will about the MCU product as a whole, there's no denying that Feige knows how to get the right people to the right projects and how to pace releases. If anyone has the standing to actually make this claim, it's him.

That's not what happened here. It should be, "crazy person goes on crazy person's show hosted on crazy man's network to imitate crazy person doing crazy thing for attention, all joyous participants in negating real struggles of people everywhere."

I don't know. I know if he knew about them that would have been the case, but then I think about Independence Day's hand-wavy "two words Mr. President: 'plausible deniability'" scene and how many reports of senior leadership in the White House deliberately ignoring some of his orders and I think there could still be a case made for it.

He doesn't actually mean what those words say. EVERY Republican says they want to keep government out of the doctor's office (and various other places), but what they MEAN is they want THEIR form of government in the doctor's office. Classic double-speak; just like how they are with the concept of being anti-fascist.

IIRC, it was Arizona that passed a law by overriding a veto from the governor banning trans people in school sports. The state had 4 trans athletes. Four people. A whole-ass law. The presence of conservative hate-targets isn't even a secondary concern; they fear the very idea of non-cis/white/heterosexuals and will trade anything and everything to punish them for nothing.

We already see how he's going to do it for the short term: fire/drive off the majority of the workforce to cut operating costs. Now what's he going to do next fiscal year once he doesn't have enough people to fire to hide the losses, I have no idea.

That's pretty close to it. Conspiracy theorists strike at people when they're feeling frustrated, ignored, and confused and present them with something that answers all their questions about the lack of control they feel and promises them they can get it back. Then once they've convinced you that it all makes sense, BAM, here comes the antisemitism. The number of popular conspiracy theories that are based in antisemitism is frankly staggering.

Wouldn't be the first time he's tried to buy back public favor by saying exactly that. I'd say it won't work again, but I have far too little faith in the public for that. Also, he's got a lot of people with money that are using him as a flashy idiot so we don't start asking, "hey, where DID he get that whole idea from? Doesn't it sound a lot like that one guy on TV? Why is he still on TV saying the same stuff that cost this guy his shoe deal if it's so bad?"

How does an untreated mental illness factor into erratic behavior? Really? That's a pretty straight line right there. But it's not the sole source of his crap or even what caused his current spree of bad decisions; that's the other stuff I listed, none of which, you'll notice help.

Not treating his bipolar disorder, unchecked ego tripping for decades, a messy public divorce, and charlatans taking advantage of him to parrot things he very clearly doesn't understand.

Edit: Wow. Some of y'all need to read more than 5 words before you jump down my throat over something I never said. At no point did I say bipolar disorder was the cause of his antisemitism. It just made his handling of stressors and life-changing traumas worse. And when you're in that state, that's when the conspiracy theorists get you.

The arm idea is most likely the easiest way to get it into existing establishments broad scale without having to redesign the kitchens (specifically the fryer bins) around a conveyor/basket setup individually. And fry stations are already dangerous, so the arm's making that better rather than worse. Grease burns hurt. Ask me how I know.

We're at the point where the tech that goes into that is cheaper, more consistent, and reliable than hiring a person to do it, even if you account for maintenance. And it's not just here. The machines are coming for all of our jobs and instead of being like the Jetsons with 3-day 2-hour work weeks, it's allowing companies to lord it over us as a threat to keep wages down, hours up, overtime unpaid and their profits up.

Not that it's the case here, but there are foods that can only be made the same way if they're made in a particular location. Parmesan reggiano is like this; there's a bacteria used to make the cheese that's only found in one place so everything else is imitation parmesan. Then there's the whole Champaigne vs sparkling wine thing which is mostly branding IIRC.
