That's the light rail. The traffic light didn't also turn red?

This is what I did when I took the MARC, and was walking in my door by 5:30 at the latest.

I second this. MARC is the way if you're going any distance. I loved my train commute.

Based on personal experience and knowledge of the area, I would not recommend the area around the West Baltimore MARC station (the station itself is fine for commuting). If you're thinking about driving, Fed Hill, SoBo, Locust Point, Riverside, Ridgely's Delight, east end of Hollins, Pigtown all make for the easiest hops out of town heading towards BWI. I live in Pigtown.

Yeah, I drove round trip to Silver Spring for year, then Gaithersburg for a couple years. My office now is in NOVA. I did that daily commute for about three years (MARC train or driving) but now work from home and drive in to the office about 1x a week. Early in, early out so it's not all that bad. I like being home by 3pm. No way I'd do it during rush hour.

That sucks! Thefts like this are often covered under your renters (or homeowners) insurance.

A reenactment.
Me: Do you have Taylor Ham? Them: What's tailor ham? Me: How about pork roll. Them: Ah, you must mean pork roast? No.
If things go differently for you, please report back.

Ah. Sounds like it wasn't working correctly. Normally that's a red light. Good thing you're cautious, I've seen people just blow through flashing yellows.
