Interesting; I used the Basic Day setting in LR to adjust. I am colorblind so do not touch anything else in fear of really making it FUBAR.

The amazing thing this time the clouds broke just over the city…then covered up everything else on the approach

Franklin was one of the first places we explored when we moved to Maple Valley 7 years ago. The remains of an old coal car trestle…my son and dog in the corner for perspective

True, this was done with a 150-600, which compressed the scene, but that mountain scene really is that dramatic; here’s the same scene but at 24mm:

No, I’ve never heard of it either, and it’s only 10 minutes from my house. FYI: there is no “downtown” but it IS on the map, north of Enumclaw.

You know, upon closer look these are ground down perpendicular to some expansion joints. Not all, and some locations have more than others. Some lanes don’t have them at all. Any ideas?

Understand expansion joints, but I assume OP was referring to those dashed groves in some lanes themselves, not between the lanes; they appear to be ground down a 1/4 - 1/2 inch from surface and are right where your tires go…I end up straddling the lane line when there is no other traffic just to stop the sound.

There are formulas for that, but above my pay grade. They do loom over Seattle when seen from a distance, such as driving in on W90 from Issaquah.

I used a Nikon D7200 with a Sigma 150-600 lens. It’s actually 12 pictures stitched together; I’m beta testing the new pano feature in the Arsenal 2 device, which stitches the photos for me as I take them.
