QEMM was some of the most must-have software that existed in the early 90s.
I worked at Software Etc. (what has now become GameStop) back in 1993-1997. One of the perks of working there was you could 'check out' software (usually games) for a week to try it, was a good way to learn about the software to help inform customers. We all had copies of everything we'd ever need from the store all for the cost of blank floppies (which we got at a discount). DOS 6.22, Windows 3.11 for Workgroups, QEMM, QModem Pro, and a few others, were always at the front of my disk case.

old enough to know the difference between extended and expanded memory, and how to tune your autoexec.bat and config.sys files to squeeze every ounce of power out of that DX^2 66 you can.
