NYC has an existing system, you can't run a red light at many intersections without getting a ticket. Overall compliance everywhere improves as culprits change habits or lose permits.

In NJ too many traffic violations are observed every day in addition to running stop signs and red lights. There is frequent crossing of solid lines, many without signalling. (Some vehicles, including trucks and Amazon delivery vans, take short cuts cutting through a Pulaski exit lane which has solid lines on both sides). Accidents on and near Pulaski show up on google maps all the time. Cameras could reduce accidents and big trucks on Pulaski would soon vanish.

Support the DEP plan to preserve this green space!

JC has few large green spaces and LSP belongs to the State of NJ. Like most of the green spaces remaining, it should be preserved and protected.

JC should consider ratio of population to green spaces and start preserving the green patches that remain.

Its up to the NJ Gov. and two NJ senators to come out and defend DEP plan.

What are their positions on this?

Some rush hour NYC bound jitneys go to Hoboken and then near PABT; usually quicker than NJTbuses and some go further east but schedule is unknown. Combining first jitney with other buses or jitneys near Lincoln tunnel is often faster than waiting for scheduled NJT buses but you have to pay for separate rides.

Gate 51 bus goes to Gate 51 inside PABT from inside JSQ with more frequency than NJT buses. There is also a system of ferries with connecting buses in Manhattan.

Rumba's Cafe on Central in the Heights has parking; a lively place usually full with diverse clients. People can choose whatever they want during lunch times. If too crowded, just take out coffee and food to nearby Washington Park and enjoy the fresh air.

Reply to Boiler broken by HeyDocK

Familiar well known company that supplies gas (and also our electricity) sent a great team that replaced boiler in half a day. They had modern tools to install pipe quickly and cleanly that were amazing. The cost was reasonable and we are very happy with the product.

Pershing field was a better place to run before track was paved. An aide to Mayor Fulop said they would put in a few lanes of real running surface but its been a few years and nothing has been done. Bikes should not be allowed on track.

Heights should have a good running surface for people to run and walk on. During Covid years, Pershing field was good for exercise while Riverview-Fisk was mostly closed. Bring back ice rink asap.

Be more specific about which streets the 'Blue hatchback Suburu' was on. Also what sort of 'Blue',and please find and provide a picture of model. There appears to be a camera at the liquor store near that intersection. Did it pass that (and if it did, have you contacted the owner and JC police)? Just use Google maps and check streets before and after that intersection for cameras. Any plate details like numbers that you can recall. How many Blue hatchback Suburus are there with specific numbers and letters in their plate ids, probably not that many.

Stop signs don't seem to require an actual stop anymore but too many drivers don't know what the laws are. Red lights and stop signs lack support in JC; eventually after enough injuries, people will restore logic and punish those who violate these sensible rules.

Not in NJ, Strand Book Store 828 Broadway at 12th Street in New York beats all stores in NJ and is worth a visit. Its a paradise for used books where you can spend days and only see a small subset of their collections.

US had more large bookstores before Amazon took away their sales; NJ still has a few large bookstores including several Barnes and Noble locations.

Hoboken and JC are close to Manhattan(PATH, bus, ferry) and as convenient as other NYC parts. Parking is difficult and traffic unpredictable often terrible.

Remote conferencing existed before Covid but now its just normal. Companies save money by having smaller flexible office spaces. Remote and flexible office hours means less demand for office space.

JC is not as expensive as smaller Hoboken but JC needs better amenities and safety.

JSQ area now visible from far and more buildings going up. With influx of people, JC can change rapidly or face an exodous after a year or two. Nowhere to walk unless JC develops some great urban spaces like Paris has.

DIY vent after sealing the window carefully.

  1. tape all window joints carefully then create air bubble (foam sheet or plastic).

  2. open door and with $20 box fans, bring in hot air from nearby 75 degree area. (if necessary, create simple tubes to move hot air using duct tape and cardboard or cloth. DIY less than $50. Winter will soon be over!)

Why don't people see the obvious that the initial postings and usual follow ups are almost like a paid promotions so they can get free publicity. i.e. its advertising.

Rumba's is very reliable. Duche de Leche and Angel Azul are reliable cafes. Noches de Colombia has TVs for sports fans.

As for the recommended places you refer to; some are usually busy but some are not when I walk pass them but that could be because of Covid.

I have always stated that leaving the scene of an accident was a mistake made by Amy DeGise. Separate the two events before and after the accident and take a few seconds to understand that in first event she was a victim of a crash caused entirely by someone else. The claims, by some that Amy was drunk or speeding or should have braked, don't make much sense after watching complete video evidence. I don't recall using the term 'innocent' but that is irrelevant since the crash seems to be almost unavoidable and entirely caused by Andrew Black who committed two traffic violations before the crash.

Andrew almost passed Amy's car when the crash happened. If, instead of swerving back across middle of road towards Amy, he had gone more straight ahead, perhaps Andrew might even have escaped the crash.

I expect some down votes; Its amusing to point out silly mistakes some JC Progressives have made.
