Yeah native Americans were branding each other with irons, whipping each other to death, separating families, selling people on auction blocks, transporting tons of other natives in the worst conditions, cutting off limbs for those who escaped

The Chola Empire is one of the most severely underrated pieces of history imo
Basically a South Indian dynasty which started off pretty small but managed to conquer and rule some significant parts of South east Asia around 900-1100 AD. They had one of the best navies in the world at the time.
But overall they were really big on trading and exploring. Thanks to them, western Asia and Europe could have access to Chinese goods, and vice versa.
Something about sea based empires is so cool to me

I mean… yeah? Japan has a very similar system. Corporations, the government, and banks all work together in one massive partnership.
I can see how you guys think this is bad and apocalyptic, but it actually works for the most part. South Korea’s high suicide rates are a problem, but a relatively small one compared to everything else about SK which actually goes well
