We have it. Remember Millstone?
It’s more expensive than Natural Gas and even some of the green energy.

I understand the need to maintain US shipping capacity in case of a war. But there are other ways to do it. Doing it for Nat gas is dumb

Absolutely. Such a BS protectionist law that a few maritime lobbyists keep on the books.

This. 1/2 the cost and honestly a better program.
Business I would say is a toss up. But CS you want to be at CCSU. Even out of state it makes more sense to go to CCSU.

We will be burning NatGas for 50 years. Baseload, backup and industrial demand it. I love renewables but it’s not a panacea

Nat gas is cheap at the pipeline. Expensive when it has to be turned into LNG and brought here on American ships (Jones act). You would have read that in the article, if had read the article.

We should build the Natural Gas pipeline that mass and nh shot down in 2016. It’s clear we need it for at least a decade as we build renewables.

We tried to build one years ago. Mass and NH stoped it.

Yeah I have had really really good and only decent meals there. At this point Tyler seems to be more of a Restauranteur than chef (at least from what I can tell, I don’t know him from Moses). But I have generally been impressed with the food. Ironically during COVID it was better than the last time I went after.

Present Company needs to sort out their HVAC situation. I have had two experiences there where it was really hot or really cold. Like cmon, that’s so basic for a place making amazing food.

Used to be true last minute deals. 2018 was great.
Now… ehhh. But they have nice features like being able to search all your favorites for a set date range etc. Several of the other apps have ‘last min” booking ability now

Plenty of awesome cities within driving distance. I use Hotel Tonight and do that pretty frequently. Decide on that Thursday where we will go. Could be Burlington VT, Boston, Philly, DC. Then ship out Friday after work.

We are like 48th in crime, natural disasters are rare, public services largely work, access to most things/stores are a short drive etc.
Yet people complain viciously. I have been to towns that are literally dying on the vine, without even a strip mall who complain less. Literally people are prouder of living in flat dusty towns in tornado ally.

If you are coming from the Midwest 30-45mins probably isn’t considered a ridiculous commute. In CT it is
This is partially because people in this state where very few things go wrong are just predisposed to complain about anything. Partially because with the traffic it is a little worse than doing it from outside a midwestern city to an office park on the perimeter. But honestly it’s not that bad

West Hartford is a great place to live when you first move here and want to meet people. Hartford has some nice neighborhoods, but they aren’t near downtown. If you are working at WFSB/Channel 3 there are plenty of nice apartments in rocky hill too.
