They’re wonderful animals, we have little hides and shelters on our property in the winter for them, I actually came out into the garage a week or so ago to a young possum investigating the empty dog food bag.

That's what I was thinking. My house is about 1/8 mile down a driveway, anyone who bothers to take that walk down a spooky drive deserves some loot.

If the plankton and copepods can excrete them, likely do can large mammals. How they impact hill health and other filter feeders would be another thing to be concerned with.
