Good for her to talk freely about it, although I'm not sure why she is doing it

Reply to Which people in the TV world (real or fictional) would you classify as a genius? by unitedfan6191
real: Benny Hill. He created, wrote, directed and starred in one of the funniest comedy shows ever and he did it for decades, hundreds of sketches. Enormous talent and craftsmanship, often forgotten which is why I want to remember him
fictional: Stringer Bell

Reply to The last episode of Stranger Things is 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Is there any other episodes of shows with similar or longer running times? by CWJMajor19
I remember this WW2 miniserie from the early eighties that had incredibly long episodes, like I would fall asleep on the carpet under the table for two hours (was a lad at the time) and wake up with dad and mum still watching it. Winds of War is the name, I believe

I guess House is meant to be ambivalent, same with Don Draper who is perhaps one of the worst men in the history of tv, and he doesn't even have House's best qualities; at least he heals people, Draper's mission is to make money

Reply to It truly is super annoying how prevalent sexism is in nearly all of my favorite comedies from my upbringing. by [deleted]
yeah, SOME of them were sexist, but what are you going to do? That's how society was. That doesn't change the fact, however, that Cheers and Frasier among a ton of others were and still are pinnacles of sitcom, much much funnier, sharper and better written than whatever super safe, insipid garbage coming out today

these people must be terminally stupid then because that's not what he's saying at all. He has a problem not with a diverse cast, but with companies using it to shield their garbage ass shows against criticism. But you know, a mere mention of the word "diversity" is enough to drive the Twitter crowd mad, making them impermeable to reason
